at least を、日本語の「少なくとも」とまったく同じ状況で使いまくることは
できないと思う。
(1) I have at least 20 friends. 「少なくとも20人友達がいる」
この英訳は正しいし、自然だと思う。次のように言ってもいい。
I have 20 friends, maybe more.
(2) At least I want to know the truth. 「少なくとも本当のことが知りたい」
英語原文だったら、「（他の人たちのことは知らないが、少なくとも僕は」という
意味になってしまうと思う。ただし話し言葉では、truth を強調してしゃべれば
日本語原文に適合する意味になるとは思う。しかし文字に書くと、誤解されてしまう
こともあるだろうから、日本語原文に適合する誤解されにくい英文を書くとしたら、
僕なら次のように書く。
(2-a) I want to know the truth at least.
(2-b) The truth is what I want at least.
(3) At least you are not my type. 「あなたは少なくとも私のタイプじゃない」
「他の人たちのことは知らないが、少なくともあなたは」という意味になってしまう
と思う。だから次のように書く。
(3-a) You, at least, are not my type.
(3-b) I know at least that you're not my type.
(3-c) If I'm not sure about the way I feel about others,
I can say at least that you are not my type.
