B. Yes, it is ... and it's really a shame. He had been hiding his baldness with the wig for a long time.

で、ネイティブに質問した。

Could you please correct the sentences below if they are not natural?

A. I heard Mr.T had his wig blown off by the gust last week. Is it true?
B. Yes, it is ... and it's really a shame. He had been hiding his baldness with the wig for a long time.

If I put "toupee" instead of wig, does it sound more natural?

Yes, since Mr. T is male, I would sound better if you used "toupee"instead of "wig".
Also, it's more common and thus more fluent if you referred to "the gust" as "a gust of wind".
Finally, in the 2nd sentence, you can remove "with the wig".
