You seem to be greeting us politely,
except that you said "Japs." I thought
the word was derogatory. Or do you
use that term as just a normal abbreviation
without any pejorative connotation?

It's not that I'm offended. I'm just curious to
know how the term "Japs" is used nowadays
where you're from.

Colombia.

>>3
I'm learning vocabulary, hope to master japanese soon.

>>4
It's not a polite word, but is used to name japanese in 4chan, just like they also use other insults to call each other.
Do japanese people do the same here?

>>5
I'm from 4chan, newfag.

I thought you can't post and make comments here from overseas?

>>they also use other insults to call each other.

Afro-Americans call each other "niggas." By that, they're not
insulting each other. On the contrary, I hear, it's a sort of
a term of endearment. But if a non-black calls an African-American
a "nigga" or "nigger," then it's a different story. They naturally get offended.

I don't think Japanese call each other by using derogatory terms when
they don't want to offend each other. You non-Japanese can
refer to the Japanese as "Japs," if you want to. But I wish you wouldn't
do the same when you're actually talking to a Japanese.
Everybody knows it's a pejorative.

All these guys are writing in daytime from fixed lines. Given a decent company will not allow employees to use the net privately, those guys must be cooped up in their homes for some reasons; maybe they are housewives or hermit.
I admire freedom of those people.

Of course is not appropiate to use internet lingo IRL.

>>9
Don't japanese use some kind of derogatory comment to name themselves as joke?

>>10
4chan is much more offensive than this.

>>11
I'm still not sure why I can post here, lol
I hope I don't get banned.

Despite 6 years of compulsory education,
most Japanese can not speak English at all.
0019名無しさん@英語勉強中 (HappyBirthday! dd14-4fLB)2018/11/20(火) 03:19:01.96ID:Qp371aCD0HAPPY
What do you think this fact means?
0020名無しさん@英語勉強中 (HappyBirthday! dd14-4fLB)2018/11/20(火) 03:20:45.83ID:Qp371aCD0HAPPY
Including university education, it is 10 years in total.

I'm trying to be honest with y'all.

>>18
Japanese is hard to learn to gaijins.
I hear people saying: Oh, you're learning japanese, I'm jealous.
Japanese say the same things.

>>19
What fact?

>>20
English is hard for japanese, just like japanese is harder for westerners.

How would you like to introduce yourself more in detail,
if you don't mind? Where have you been living all your life?
What is your mother tongue? English?

From the way you write, I guess you are around 20 or at least
very young. And, if you're an English native speaker, you're not very good at
your own language. I guess that if you're a native English speaker,
you haven't read many books in English.

But, of course, if your native language is not English, then I'll understand.
Perhaps you're a non-British European or a national in an English-speaking
country whose mother tongue is not English.

I'm from Colombia, south america.

I studied english when I was 14 but I forgot most of it.
I just shitpost on 4chan right now, so I'm not sure why you feel I'm not native.

I would love to be as good as natives, but I am just a B2 speaker.
0024名無しさん@英語勉強中 (HappyBirthday! cd81-maOp)2018/11/20(火) 05:56:11.44ID:0WHVP/8D0HAPPY

Sorry I said you don't write like a native speaker. What I meant
was that if you were a native speaker, then you should be
young, in their 20s. Native speakers around 20 or so write like you.
So I think you write very well for a nonnative, at least 1,000 times
better than an average Japanese.

So you're from Colombia, South America. Yes, I now remember you said that
earlier. I had forgotten it. Sorry.

You are mistaken for Americans because Colombia invokes the images of the U.S. for some...
They might have envisioned Columbia University and falsely believe you're from the nation.
Actually you have National University of Colombia in your country.
Anyway, you should have avoided the word no matter where you come from. Some people may consider it demeaning.
As far as I know 4chan is not so offencive compared to this site...
