Four Digit Model Codes
Ovation instruments are identified by a four digit model code. The individual numbers within the code will indicate production information about that model.

The first digit is (generally) 1.

The second digit describes the type of guitar:
1 Acoustic roundbacks or semi-hollow electric
2 Slidbody or semi-hollow electric
3 Ultra acoustics
4 Slidbody
5 Acoustic/Electric cutaway Amadas and II/Elite/Ultra electric
6 Acoustic//Electric roundback
7 Deep
8 Shallow

The third digit indicates the depth of the guitar's bowl:
1 Standard
2 Artist
3 Elite/Matrix electric deep bowl
4 Matrix shallow bowl
5 Custom Balladeer/Legend/Legend 12/Custom Legend 12/Anniversary
6 Cutaway electric, deep bowl
7 Cutaway electric, shallow bowl
8 Adamas

手入力なので、ミススペルがあったらゴメン。
コードの読み方はそういうことらしい。

ただ、カスタムレジェンドシリーズと、エリートシリーズは、この規則とは関係ないと思う（４桁目が8と9ばかりなので）。
書籍にはこれらの型番の説明は書いてない。
