多読の初期のころ、英文で童話もたくさん読んだ。Andersen's Tales, Grimm's Fairy
Tales, Oscar Wilde, Frances Hodgson Burnett (The Secret Garden の他に
Little Lord Fauntleroy や Little Women など), Winnie the Pooh,
Anne of Green Gables, The Little House on the Prairie のシリーズ9冊
など、その他に何を読んだかな？どこかに童話のリストがあってタイトルさえ見れば、
それを読んだかどうかは思い出せるだろうけどね。

Roald Dahl の6冊シリーズも、たぶんすべて読んだと思う。Roald Dahl は、それぞれが
短いし、僕の記憶ではストーリーも（少なくとも表面上は）単純で読みやすくて面白かった。
