質問の場合は a good chance → a good one なのですが too が直接 good に付くために a がうしろに移動して a one となったものです。(このa/an の移動も整序問題頻出)
ちなみに不可算名詞を one で表わすことはできませんし複数ones は修飾語句が必要な点も要注意です。 0416411 (ワッチョイ 77c7-Y1z7)2017/12/11(月) 01:16:24.93ID:Cv8QYbQt0>>415 Are you the same person as >>410? If so, you should say thanks to yourself. I'm a bit offended because you went on a rampage in that thread yesterday. That is not my own thread, so , needless to say, anyone can post anything there freely. Still, I wanted you to take it into account to a degree. Do you figure out what I am talking about? I had not translated the last Japanese script yet, so intended to do my assignment after going home. Can you imagine how disappionted I was in when I saw what you had done? I completely lost my motivation on the spot. You might say, " That was for you." And if so, you should realize that your thoughtful behavior sometimes is regarded as " unwelcome favor." Having said that, I know it was my fault because I left the text undone. So, from now on, I'll make it a rule to post both Japanese scripts and my translations at the same time.
On another note With regard to the expression " I am offended ", in the book I'm working on now, there is a part where the author develops an argument about it. According to him, you should always maintain a mentality with which you can look at things with an objective eye. From such a viewpoint, the expression " I am offened" is mentally problematic enough if you use it unconsciously. You might fall into a trap. I mean you are likely to be identical to the "offened" emotion. So let's say, " I feel offended." With this expression, you are successful in separating you from the emotion. 0433名無しさん@英語勉強中 (ワッチョイ ff81-zy4u)2017/12/11(月) 11:36:42.68ID:bxbBh7O80>>432 >>You might say, " That was for you." And if so, you should realize that your thoughtful behavior sometimes is regarded as " unwelcome favor."
No, I didn't intend to do you any favor. I saw you post a Japanese text. So I translated it. That's all. I did it for myself. And if you didn't like it when you saw me post that particular translation, you could have just ignored it and gone ahead with your own translation.
If anybody gets offended or discouraged by someone doing an assignment ahead of them, then there'll be no point in several people doing something together. For example, here in this thread too, questioners post their questions. Everybody is welcome to pitch in by giving their own answers to each of them. If you have to feel discouraged or offended in any way by anybody giving an answer ahead of you, then you can't do anything unless you're sure you're the first to be answering any question.
I myself give an answer (or several answers even) to every question I happen to find here and elsewhere on the Internet whether I'm the first to post my question or there are many people who have posted their answers ahead of me. If there are some people answering ahead of me, that will be even a good encouragement for me because in that way I will be urged to give an even better answer. 0434名無しさん@英語勉強中 (ワッチョイ 1784-F7Qh)2017/12/11(月) 12:58:52.18ID:MW4tS+yF0 彼は1週間ですべての本を読み終えた He finished reading all the books in a week. By the way, I dreamt a joyful and adventurous dream last night. Therein my wife and I were in a Renault FT-17, a well-known French tank invented during the WWI. While my wife was driving it, I was seeking enemies through its cupola. By and by a host of japs with a rifle in their hand came in front of us, but all of them were slain by my accurate shots. I scouted out one jap after another, but they never rivaled out our tank, and immediately they smashed into chunks of meat. While shooting hostile yellow bugs, our tank accidentally leapt down from the cliff, but escaped being crushed, for an unbelievable phenomenon happened. Thank god, our tank was flying!
Thereafter we found a jap’s zero-fighter coming toward us. Our tank responded by looping the loop and flying behind the Zero, then I shot a merciless shot at him. His right wing was smashed and the foe’s plane fell down onto the sea. As bad luck had it, the battleship Yamato was cruising there at that moment. To their misfortune, the Zero crashed onto the Yamato and the jap’s battleship exploded and broke into two, like the battleship Hood had. It’s the very suicide-attack, kamikaze! lol
