>>You might say, " That was for you." And if so, you should realize that your thoughtful
behavior sometimes is regarded as " unwelcome favor."

No, I didn't intend to do you any favor. I saw you post a Japanese text.
So I translated it. That's all. I did it for myself. And if you didn't like it when
you saw me post that particular translation, you could have just ignored it and
gone ahead with your own translation.

If anybody gets offended or discouraged by someone doing an assignment
ahead of them, then there'll be no point in several people doing something together.
For example, here in this thread too, questioners post their questions.
Everybody is welcome to pitch in by giving their own answers to each of them.
If you have to feel discouraged or offended in any way by anybody giving an answer
ahead of you, then you can't do anything unless you're sure you're the first to
be answering any question.

I myself give an answer (or several answers even) to every question I happen to
find here and elsewhere on the Internet whether I'm the first to post my
question or there are many people who have posted their answers ahead of me.
If there are some people answering ahead of me, that will be even a good
encouragement for me because in that way I will be urged to give an even
better answer.
