Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis,
Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers,
Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese
who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning
linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and
that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread!
Let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!

I can understand your point to some degree.
But it's obvious that changing sleeping pattern causes some health problems.
We need social wide agreement to bring about such a drastic change and we clearly don't have time to implement it by the next year.

I think he is not the best, but he's not bad either.
I don't trust or listen to either side of the American
mainstream media (CNN or Fox, anything in between),
because they are always trying to spin everything to fit
their narrative. (CNN acts like Trump is the devil, Fox
says everything he does and says is amazing/sucks his dick)

He has done some good things while he has been in office,
although he often says dumb things on social media.
I like how he respects veterans and puts us first, but
that sometimes strains relationships with other countries
(which I don't like).

To be honest, I think too many American
politicians have been TOO accepting of other countries lately.
For example, there has been a huge issue in certain states
because immigrants will come illegally to our country and
set up their own gang networks among innocent communities
of legal migrants. The legal migrants come out themselves to
protest the government allowing this to happen- telling stories
about how family members were raped or killed because of the
migrant gang violence, and yet the government does nothing.
So when someone like Trump got elected, it made me happy,
even though I might not agree with everything he says.
It made me feel like, "Oh, at least we are not going to get
stepped and spat on for the next 4 years".

All in all, I have a positive opinion of him, but I keep my doubts.
I knew he would end up winning before the election because of how
big a meme he had become (lol).

On social media in the US it's pretty common to see/hear people talking about the horrible changes Europe is making- the latest being a bill that would make Europeans have to get a card, similar to an id or license, to view porn (even online).

I can only imagine the government would have easy access to your records if this happens. Meaning they can see all the nasty stuff you have looked at/searched. It's hilarious to me someone thought that would be a good idea.

North Carolina.
I'm not in one of those weird rural states where the water is full of lead,
but I'm also not in New York or Miami. To be honest it's really nice here.
There's a lot of people and plenty of things to do. There are cities in this state
a reasonable drive away. I'm sure international news shows a lot of riots and crime
going on in the US, but over here in NC it's really calm- even in the cities.
For example- after Trump got elected and the news was showing riots 24/7,
people who wanted to go to those riots had to drive up to other states to get involved.
Just like anywhere else in the world, there are areas of the US you should avoid
if you want to live a peaceful and happy life.

The tech boom that's been happening lately here has been attracting a ton of indian people-
which isn't that bad, as most of them are nice. Unless you work in retail (lol).
Living here is a little expensive, but there is plenty of business in the area to compensate.
Not much to say other than that.
North Carolina is a great place to live,
but it wouldn't be that exciting to visit alone.

Health problems? What are you, 75 years old with heart attack history?
Despite your concern over shifting in our work hours somehow affects people's health, I think it's safe to say there won't be any major issue in light of the precedent set by other countries.
Also, it will be this one time thing, if people hate it, we wouldn't be hearing about it for the next couple of decades, I guess.

No one wants to get up two hours earlier than usual just for the Olympic Games.
It entails costs, preparation time and stress on health. Practically speaking, it is difficult to implement such a system in just one year.

And frankly, I'm no longer very interested in the games as it is determined that swimming finals will be held in the morning.

Step 1: stop masturbating so much. I know it sounds silly, but hear me out.
You should only ever masturbate when you are really horny- not when you are bored.
If you find your brain thinking "why not masturbate" instead of "my cock is
about to explode I'm going to bust one out right now", you are doing it too much.
Never ejaculate two days in a row (especially at the start).
Fill that bored time by working towards a goal- I recommend working out. The more you
do this, the closer you will get to your goal. This will boost your self confidence, making
you more attractive and less worried.

It can be really hard at first. But please trust me and try it. You will start to feel yourself
having a lot more energy, and wont want to go back to fapping every day.

Step 2: Get more sleep

Especially for Japanese people I can see this being very difficult.
This is something incredibly important. ALWAYS MAKE SURE
YOU GET 8 HOURS OF SLEEP EVERY NIGHT. always.
Don't lie to yourself and say, "oh I will be fine tomorrow". do it.
Sleep is very important to your health, and if you don't get enough
it can have serious negative effects. If you miss a full 8 hours for
even 1 day, your brain will not be able to process information as fast,
and you will feel sluggish all day. If you regularly miss sleep, it can
damage your brain. Morning time is very nice, so be sure to enjoy it.

I had a lot of trouble learning to force myself to sleep, being a former
insomniac. Try listening to something soft, like an audio book or ASMR
while lying down, to keep your mind from thinking about bad things. If you
still have trouble sleeping, it is most likely due to your brain staying active and
preventing you from relaxing. Try to follow a train of thought- think about
something positive- and then try to think slower to allow yourself to relax. I
really recommend ASMR though. It will give you the most relaxing sleep,
leading to the most energy in the mornings.

Another important thing for those who work: if you have a goal you
are chasing very seriously- especially something based in skill- that
you do every day, try to do it during the mornings. This is when you
will be feeling refreshed, and your mind will be the most open to
learning and forming new ideas. Even if you do not have a shounen-
manga-style goal, try to wake up a couple hours before work to have
time to yourself. It can be hard, and you will have to sacrifice some
parties, but it will be worth it. You will feel much more fulfilled in life
being able to take time for yourself in the morning, and the ladies find
it very attractive when their man is up beforehand (seemingly) getting
things done.

Oh, and waking up to an alarm is important. Even on your day off, set one.
You can give yourself an extra hour or two, especially if you missed an hour
the day before, but never more than two. You should always be waking up to
your alarm. Never hit snooze.

Step 3: working out

If you are a guy, working out is important. I get it, not every guy is the type that will
look good muscular or have an easy time making it to the point of being fit. But
for us it has a huge impact. Working out in the morning may make you feel tired at first-
this is natural. As you get used to it though, it will make you feel happier throughout your
day and give you a big boost in confidence. You don't have to do it to get a beach body.
Do it because it makes you feel good. Then show off after a couple months (lol).

Step 4: force yourself to talk to people more

Learning to hold a conversation is hard, but you can only learn it from experience. The more
you talk to people, the more your personality will develop. Don't be fake, and don't talk
too much. Sometimes people will like you more if you know when to be silent and just take
in your surroundings. Always be confident. Even if what you are saying is not particularly
interesting or funny, you can still captivate people with the way you say it.

2018/08/10(金) 10:43:09.89ID:pe1n7iGD0
The most important part of having a conversation is UNDERSTANDING WHERE THE
ENTERTAINMENT IS. You will often have to think about what you are going to say
beforehand, don't be ashamed. For example: when someone asks you what you have
been doing today, you can say "I played dark souls." or get embarrassed and say
"Nothing much". Especially with a girl. They might not want to hear about games,
and think you are nerdy, right? Wrong. You just have to KNOW WHERE THE
ENTERTAINMENT IS. Try something like "I was playing this game dark souls. The
boss was so hard that by the time I beat him I felt like I really was a hero who slayed a dragon!
I died so many times thinking "What? He can do that?". So when I won I felt like I really did
something great, (etc.) Even if you are doing something boring, try to find an interesting way
to think about it. Also, if you are worried about being too nerdy for a girl, try to steer the
conversation in a direction she can relate to, and never talk too much about the actual
process of whatever you are doing unless she asks. Too much detail turns women
away instantly, because they think you don't understand they have no knowledge
of it. If she waned game facts, she would go to wikipedia.
Try and always end your story in a way that makes it easy for her to relate to it.

Self deprecating humor is not attractive to women (but it's always funny to men),
so try not to do it around them.

2018/08/10(金) 10:44:07.35ID:pe1n7iGD0
Step 5: Always be self-analytical. This is the only way to get better at anything in life,
so don't do it only when you need to. Take some time to reflect on yourself every day,
with these four things in mind:
-What do I want
-How do I get it
-How far have I come from where I started
-Am I satisfied where I am
If you ever reach "yes" on the last one, make sure to keep doing what you need to so that it
stays a "yes". Then, when you are sure you will continue to say "yes", find the next thing
to work on. If you need help getting motivated, think about the worst outcome.
Then think about what you will do so that worst outcome never comes true.
Build on it, and make it so the thing you want comes true.

Final step: Posture
If you are sitting, standing, crouching, whatever- always have a straight back and your head
held high. You will have better breathing, leading to better focus. And posture is HUGE
to women. If they see a guy who is always slouched or has his shoulders forward, they will
immediately form a negative opinion (yes, good looking women are this ruthless). Try to focus
on pressing your shoulders back so they are even with your chest. your back can bend forward
a little as you puff out your chest. This is optimal manly posture. Be the man you always knew
you could be. Don't be afraid of your nipples sticking out too much and be confident in your
body- even if you puff out your chest, people won;t know how your body looks under your
shirt any more than they did before. Own it. Even if you are chubby. Plenty of chubby guys
puff out there chest here in America and it actually works really well.

Only other piece of advice I have is "if you are feeling tired early in the day,
and you have had enough sleep,
take a break and eat. Not a snack, something filling that will give you energy.
If you are a skinny guy force yourself to eat more. You will feel a huge difference
in energy, as if blood is finally rushing back to your brain.
I have experimented so much with my own hunger/fatigue that I can now
feel when my brain is starting to slow down from not eating enough specifically.
I could be tired from something else, and still feel when my body needs food
for the energy before hunger actually sets in. If you feel hunger in your
stomach, you are well past the point where your brain has started slowing down from
not taking in enough nutrients.

Good luck, brother. I hope you can make a place where you are happy (that is NOT
in a coffin).

This is something I've been feeling for a while, but there seem to be a lot of politicians and others who are waiting for an opportunity to suck China's cock.
If people show any kind of friendliness to China or its people, they will sell our country to China in 2 seconds.
In order to prevent it, the only option we have in a dumbocratic country like ours is to be cold and stern and shout Fuck China like people were doing on 2ch when there was some incident.

Our politicians etc are already starting to suck China's cock, it seems. Fortunately, other countries seem to have become aware of the Chinese threat.

Weebs.
Weebs influence other people in their country to think that anime = Japan.
So foreigners go there expecting over-the-top craziness, spiky colored hair,
and what they get is a country of conservative-minded, respectful, and quiet
people. Very few actually take any notice of Japan's real culture, and just like
anime.

Honestly, seeing those flyers using anime-like character as promotion put up all over the place disgusts me. It's just so cringy and almost unbearable watching.
It's good that they have their own interest, but just because they like it doesn't mean we all like it either. It's like they're forcing their ideals onto everyone else. That action itself will be frowned upon regardless of whether it being anime or not.

There might be practical reasons why some companies use anime characters in their ads.
For instance, Otakus don't hesitate to spend money to get anything that has even slightly to do with anime, even if it costs them far more than it's worth. And companies have every reason to capitalize on that, don't they?
Or it might just be that using anime characters costs less than signing a contract with actual acters/actresses.
Anyway, I think the recent upsurge in anime ads is mostly about making profits, not preaching Otaku culture or something.
if most people find these ads disgusting, companies would drop them immediately or wouldn't let them go out in the first place. It would badly affect their sales otherwise.

The anime style used in those 3 commercials are not really otaku stuff. Those are cinematic anime style which doesn't cater to otakus only but is accepted by a wider audience.

Seeing your over-the-top disgust towards the flyers, I thought you were complaining about more otaku-ish things like "moe" or some vulgar stuff.
If you were complaining about the kind of stuff shown in the videos from the beginning, then I just pity you for having such a morbidly low tolerance to anything anime.

But for the sake of the argument, let's say those commercials are disgusting otaku shit that is only accepted by otakus.
Now, were the decisions to make and air those commercials made by otakus? I don't think so.
Otakus are not the ones who are making the disgusting anime shit ads. Rather, the companies make those ads to attract otakus like >>503 said.
So otakus are not the ones you should be blaming for the disgusting anime shit ads. That was my point from the beginning.

Ironically, these anime ads are mostly from major companies so perhaps it just wouldn't immediately result in decrease in their sales because people need them.
>>504
I said he can't say it's wrong when they can't be observed on a numerical scale or are "objectively" evident to everyone's eyes.
I didn't say anything about we shouldn't talk about each of our subjective viewpoints here. Just go back to sucking your mother's breasts, illiterate dumbass.
>>505
What makes you think they're not?? Their drawn-style quite resembles to that of recent anime, or at least much different from the other ones that's generally seen as normal & ordinary, and weren't uniquely produced in Japan.
I doubt that they are widely accepted, It's just people usually won't give a damn about stuff that doesn't worth paying attention to. When they watch it, I think most of them might not feel comfortable as you think they do.
And yes, I especially don't like those just boys & just girls stuff. Are they nuts? I mean, they are like national broadcasting of porn videos. There's gotta be something wrong about this country to think THAT and you guys defensing their stuff here.
Maybe nerds aren't solely responsible for all this, but it won't change the way I feel about seeing them in public.
>>506
I don't think they are innocent at all. And I'm not mad. I'm just so embarrassed and disgusted to the fact that some people are ok with them aired on TV & used as promoting characters.

You seem to have extremely limited reading abilities.

>>496
>which I think most people find disgusting

This line cited from your comment is directed at 492 rather than 494 who said you were wrong.
If I were you, I can't bear this shame lol.

And you said,

>It's like they're forcing their ideals onto everyone else.

It's clear that you're trying to impose your skewed views on others even though you have said like this. Your comment is full of contradiction.
You are not rational in all senses.

Again your reading skill is extremely limited. You don't reach C2 level that I have accomplished long before.

Ignorance makes you arrogant.

Calm down there.
You said "I was contradicting myself" BECAUSE I was being subjective while I said he needs to be objective. AND I said "He needs to be objective WHEN he wants to say someone's WRONG"
I DIDN'T say "We always need to be objective", so I haven't said anything contradictory to myself at this point in time.

Geez... What a baby.
And one more thing. Would you please stop blasting this thread with any more of your stupid comments? Thank you.

You are continuously showing your limitations in reading again and again.
You must have gotten lowest scores even in Japanese test.

A normal person won't to be upset by commercials.
No one resonates with your comments, thus you are the one to be shown the door. Piss off.

To get an idea, look up the movie 君の名は。 and see how well it has been received. That's the kind of anime movies non-otaku people watch these days.
And I'm not "defending" those things. I just think those are not something that is worth making a fuss about even if you don't like anime.

My point is that what you said in the last couple sentences in >>490 is logically incorrect, as otakus are not the ones responsible for the flyers/ads.
I don't care if you hate anime or not.

Alright, I got it. It's not otaku's faults that these ads are now everywhere.

Let me clarify again. I'm not hating on their stuff, I just don't like having those stuff around where it's not supposed to be.

Of course they receive positive reactions from the audience because the audience went through the trouble going to movie theaters, payed some money and watched it,
Plus, movies usually get high ratings unless it horribly messes up in visual or screenplay.
This is especially the case for the ones like animation, because animation are primarily for minor audience (kids won't notice a little mess-up, do they?).

And they don't bother me at all, because they've been kept to the right places all the way through.
But once it's outside of their field and makes their way into other areas like ads/stations/shops/restaurants etc. Don't you find it a bit too much?
Because whether you like it or not, anime in the styles like the movie that you just mentioned aren't fully accepted by general population; particularly from senior generation.
I also don't like to have people from other countries pointing their fingers at us and say "Hey, it's the country of anime!!"

By "look up", I meant you should get information about the movie.
That movie is the fourth highest grossing film of all time in Japan, first being Sen to Chihiro (Ghibli), second Titanic, and third Frozen (Disney).
If people felt so uncomfortable about that anime style like you do, they wouldn't have gone to see it in the first place.
And I don't see why all ads should be senior-friendly at all times, especially companies like Nissin, McDonald's, and Benesse of all things.
How much is too much depends on the person.

Why it needs to be senior-friendly? Because companies owe a certain level of responsibility to the society. It's called "corporate compliance". They always need to be considerate about how consumers feel of their activities.
Companies should immediately cease their own activities based on public opinions, even if what they are doing were reasonable and working very well for them.
Haven't you ever heard of the news that some commercials were dropped? Or they had to, because people hated it so badly that the requests were made by people with a petition.

I had no idea that movie was so popular that it made a huge hit, I can totally understand the other three though.
That alone doesn't really account for how well these anime are actually accepted by people. It might be? But maybe it was just the movie was exceptionally good.

But seriously, can you honestly say you won't feel uncomfortable/embarrassed even a bit with these anime ads being there all around you?
To make it easier for you to understand the point I'm trying to make here, I'll give you an example.
Let's suppose that you liked these anime, can you then proudly say it aloud that you like watching them to people around you, just as saying your hobbies are listening to music or playing sports?
If you can't, isn't that because you're embarrassed about it too? Think realistically here, because you do sound like you're saying all these stuff so you don't have to concede to other's opinions.
