Chat in English (英語で雑談) part 207
https://lavender.5ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1523616417/
Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis,
Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers,
Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese
who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning
linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and
that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread!
Let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
We all wish for permanent world peace! Final step: Posture
If you are sitting, standing, crouching, whatever- always have a straight back and your head
held high. You will have better breathing, leading to better focus. And posture is HUGE
to women. If they see a guy who is always slouched or has his shoulders forward, they will
immediately form a negative opinion (yes, good looking women are this ruthless). Try to focus
on pressing your shoulders back so they are even with your chest. your back can bend forward
a little as you puff out your chest. This is optimal manly posture. Be the man you always knew
you could be. Don't be afraid of your nipples sticking out too much and be confident in your
body- even if you puff out your chest, people won;t know how your body looks under your
shirt any more than they did before. Own it. Even if you are chubby. Plenty of chubby guys
puff out there chest here in America and it actually works really well. >>463
Only other piece of advice I have is "if you are feeling tired early in the day,
and you have had enough sleep,
take a break and eat. Not a snack, something filling that will give you energy.
If you are a skinny guy force yourself to eat more. You will feel a huge difference
in energy, as if blood is finally rushing back to your brain.
I have experimented so much with my own hunger/fatigue that I can now
feel when my brain is starting to slow down from not eating enough specifically.
I could be tired from something else, and still feel when my body needs food
for the energy before hunger actually sets in. If you feel hunger in your
stomach, you are well past the point where your brain has started slowing down from
not taking in enough nutrients.
Good luck, brother. I hope you can make a place where you are happy (that is NOT
in a coffin). Why gaijins flock to Japan? Even though they don’t like Japan? So annoying! Why you stick to this thread? Even though you don't like this thread. So annoying! This is something I've been feeling for a while, but there seem to be a lot of politicians and others who are waiting for an opportunity to suck China's cock.
If people show any kind of friendliness to China or its people, they will sell our country to China in 2 seconds.
In order to prevent it, the only option we have in a dumbocratic country like ours is to be cold and stern and shout Fuck China like people were doing on 2ch when there was some incident.
Our politicians etc are already starting to suck China's cock, it seems. Fortunately, other countries seem to have become aware of the Chinese threat. I tried to post an almost identical post here about 2 weeks ago and got some NG word error. I wonder what that was. >>481
Weebs.
Weebs influence other people in their country to think that anime = Japan.
So foreigners go there expecting over-the-top craziness, spiky colored hair,
and what they get is a country of conservative-minded, respectful, and quiet
people. Very few actually take any notice of Japan's real culture, and just like
anime.
At least that's what I think. I may be wrong or over generalizing. There's an another message board which makes you so happy.
http://bbs.sp.findfriends.jp/?pid=thread_detail&id=115921&pager_type=pager&page=1&w4&w4 >>472-478
I would like to thank you for the courtesy of your reply. >>472-480
I would like to thank you for the courtesy of your reply. <<485
I could relate to that in here. Otaku people think anime's been accepted in mainstream culture and people from other countries like it too, despite the fact most of us don't care for it much.
Honestly, seeing those flyers using anime-like character as promotion put up all over the place disgusts me. It's just so cringy and almost unbearable watching.
It's good that they have their own interest, but just because they like it doesn't mean we all like it either. It's like they're forcing their ideals onto everyone else. That action itself will be frowned upon regardless of whether it being anime or not. UIF UZQIPPO HFUT BDSPTT IPOTZV OPX. >>490
All ads are aimed at certain segmenents of the population.
There is no such ads that try to attract everyone nor assume that everyone like them.
If you are not happy with some ads, then just ignore them.
Do not rush to the conclusion that they are forcing you to like them, which they aren't. tfw gooks write better english than 8ch's /b/ 490 is also wrong about otakus thinking their stuff has been accepted. It's the (shitty) government that has been pushing that stuff to the world.
That and local governments etc using it to attract otakus to their towns and shops because they tend to use money generously.
But 490 has been wrong about almost everything, so I don't care. >>492
Because the person has typical thinking patterns and wants to force them on to others.
In other words, what the person says is completely predictable and easy to identify. >>492
What are you talking about? Some ads are for raising general awareness of whatever they want to spread out among people.
And I didn't say they are "actually" trying to make me like them, I just don't like their way of advertising stuff where they assume people also like their character in particular drawn-style (which I think most people find disgusting)
That I said "IT'S LIKE they are forcing their ideals onto us".
>>494
What government?? I didn't know there's a government that has an influence over how companies advertise their products or services or whatever.
You have a tendency to make it sound like bigger deals than they actually are. You need to ground yourself first. I'm not here to listen to your stupid fairy tale.
And you better change your attitude about all the right/wrong bullshit. No one believes what they are saying as objectively and universally true. We are here to exchange opinions. >>496
The Japanese government. They have been pushing anime and stuff as a project called "Cool Japan", and I believe they are providing subsidies to various anime-related things.
It was mainly a response to the second sentence of your post >>490 and not specifically about the fliers/ads.
I said you are "wrong" because I believe the second sentence of 490 is objectively not true,
and also because you were complaining in 490 as if otakus are forcing their culture on us by using anime-drawings in non-otaku-related companies' ads, which I believe is not the case.
If you were comlaining about otaku-related-companies using anime-drawings in their ads, that would be another (retarded) story.
If you want to argue about it further, tell me exactly what ads you are complaining about. >>497
Do you even watch TV? When it switches to commercials there are tons of companies adopting anime characters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkoXAIQDo30 (From Nissin Foods)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-Gb8WBjbKs (From Benesse)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1-9Tc6kD_c (From McDonald's)
These are only a few examples to show how often we could have to face them in the ads recently or currently aired on Japan. Just look up the words on Youtube if you think otherwise.
As for the flyers, I don't remember the company's names, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it many times before in my office's hallways or at some stations.
>>I said you are "wrong" because I believe the second sentence of 490 is objectively not true
Do you know what "objective" means? I know there's a chance that this might not be one of those otakus ideas, but how can you be so sure when it's not shown in number or without you actually seeing it with your own eyes? Otakus are so kimoi. This is the universally accpeted idea. https://i.imgur.com/uA10gqz.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/aQiDx3l.jpg
a stout debu was caught as he commited pickpocket at pretty cure island of comiket on august 11.
i think he should be penetrated by debu-sen gays. There's an another message board which makes you so happy.
http://bbs.sp.findfriends.jp/?pid=thread_detail&id=115921&pager_type=pager&page=1&w4&w4 There might be practical reasons why some companies use anime characters in their ads.
For instance, Otakus don't hesitate to spend money to get anything that has even slightly to do with anime, even if it costs them far more than it's worth. And companies have every reason to capitalize on that, don't they?
Or it might just be that using anime characters costs less than signing a contract with actual acters/actresses.
Anyway, I think the recent upsurge in anime ads is mostly about making profits, not preaching Otaku culture or something.
if most people find these ads disgusting, companies would drop them immediately or wouldn't let them go out in the first place. It would badly affect their sales otherwise. >>496
>which I think most people find disgusting
This is your subjective opinion. Do not generalize it.
You just kept contradicting yourself. >>498
The anime style used in those 3 commercials are not really otaku stuff. Those are cinematic anime style which doesn't cater to otakus only but is accepted by a wider audience.
Seeing your over-the-top disgust towards the flyers, I thought you were complaining about more otaku-ish things like "moe" or some vulgar stuff.
If you were complaining about the kind of stuff shown in the videos from the beginning, then I just pity you for having such a morbidly low tolerance to anything anime.
But for the sake of the argument, let's say those commercials are disgusting otaku shit that is only accepted by otakus.
Now, were the decisions to make and air those commercials made by otakus? I don't think so.
Otakus are not the ones who are making the disgusting anime shit ads. Rather, the companies make those ads to attract otakus like >>503 said.
So otakus are not the ones you should be blaming for the disgusting anime shit ads. That was my point from the beginning. >>498
Do you really get mad at these innocent commercials?
Then Japan is not the best place to live in for you. >>503
That's true. Maybe people don't like them as much I do. But personally, I won't stop using their services just because I hate their commercials if I need it.
Ironically, these anime ads are mostly from major companies so perhaps it just wouldn't immediately result in decrease in their sales because people need them.
>>504
I said he can't say it's wrong when they can't be observed on a numerical scale or are "objectively" evident to everyone's eyes.
I didn't say anything about we shouldn't talk about each of our subjective viewpoints here. Just go back to sucking your mother's breasts, illiterate dumbass.
>>505
What makes you think they're not?? Their drawn-style quite resembles to that of recent anime, or at least much different from the other ones that's generally seen as normal & ordinary, and weren't uniquely produced in Japan.
I doubt that they are widely accepted, It's just people usually won't give a damn about stuff that doesn't worth paying attention to. When they watch it, I think most of them might not feel comfortable as you think they do.
And yes, I especially don't like those just boys & just girls stuff. Are they nuts? I mean, they are like national broadcasting of porn videos. There's gotta be something wrong about this country to think THAT and you guys defensing their stuff here.
Maybe nerds aren't solely responsible for all this, but it won't change the way I feel about seeing them in public.
>>506
I don't think they are innocent at all. And I'm not mad. I'm just so embarrassed and disgusted to the fact that some people are ok with them aired on TV & used as promoting characters. >>507
You seem to have extremely limited reading abilities.
>>496
>which I think most people find disgusting
This line cited from your comment is directed at 492 rather than 494 who said you were wrong.
If I were you, I can't bear this shame lol.
And you said,
>It's like they're forcing their ideals onto everyone else.
It's clear that you're trying to impose your skewed views on others even though you have said like this. Your comment is full of contradiction.
You are not rational in all senses.
Again your reading skill is extremely limited. You don't reach C2 level that I have accomplished long before.
Ignorance makes you arrogant. I always thought the D in the Disney logo looked like a backwards G. >>507
You are the only person to be offended so badly by this innocent commercials.
You'd better think about why you come to have such perverted views. >most of them might not feel comfortable
This guy tends to say baseless things like this.
Who that has a common sense can keep saying such groundless things? It disgusts me far more than animations. Calm down there.
You said "I was contradicting myself" BECAUSE I was being subjective while I said he needs to be objective. AND I said "He needs to be objective WHEN he wants to say someone's WRONG"
I DIDN'T say "We always need to be objective", so I haven't said anything contradictory to myself at this point in time.
Geez... What a baby.
And one more thing. Would you please stop blasting this thread with any more of your stupid comments? Thank you. You are continuously showing your limitations in reading again and again.
You must have gotten lowest scores even in Japanese test.
A normal person won't to be upset by commercials.
No one resonates with your comments, thus you are the one to be shown the door. Piss off. And you have nothing to say about >>512?? HAHA. Of course, you don't.
When you make a misunderstanding, you better apologize first. It's not worth commenting.
Ignorance makes you arrogant.
There are no words that fit you more. >>507
To get an idea, look up the movie 君の名は。 and see how well it has been received. That's the kind of anime movies non-otaku people watch these days.
And I'm not "defending" those things. I just think those are not something that is worth making a fuss about even if you don't like anime.
My point is that what you said in the last couple sentences in >>490 is logically incorrect, as otakus are not the ones responsible for the flyers/ads.
I don't care if you hate anime or not. >>516
Alright, I got it. It's not otaku's faults that these ads are now everywhere.
Let me clarify again. I'm not hating on their stuff, I just don't like having those stuff around where it's not supposed to be.
Of course they receive positive reactions from the audience because the audience went through the trouble going to movie theaters, payed some money and watched it,
Plus, movies usually get high ratings unless it horribly messes up in visual or screenplay.
This is especially the case for the ones like animation, because animation are primarily for minor audience (kids won't notice a little mess-up, do they?).
And they don't bother me at all, because they've been kept to the right places all the way through.
But once it's outside of their field and makes their way into other areas like ads/stations/shops/restaurants etc. Don't you find it a bit too much?
Because whether you like it or not, anime in the styles like the movie that you just mentioned aren't fully accepted by general population; particularly from senior generation.
I also don't like to have people from other countries pointing their fingers at us and say "Hey, it's the country of anime!!" I hope someone eliminate animations to save this person. LOL! >>512
> Are you a white gaijin with a big cock?
No class deserves get lost. >>517
By "look up", I meant you should get information about the movie.
That movie is the fourth highest grossing film of all time in Japan, first being Sen to Chihiro (Ghibli), second Titanic, and third Frozen (Disney).
If people felt so uncomfortable about that anime style like you do, they wouldn't have gone to see it in the first place.
And I don't see why all ads should be senior-friendly at all times, especially companies like Nissin, McDonald's, and Benesse of all things.
How much is too much depends on the person. This thread has become so tense...
Lighten up! It's not tense. This is just normal conversation.
And why would you, GOD, of all people, care about such a matter? Beause I’m GOD. I care about my people very much.... People can post freely anytime they want. No need to care about the ongoing topics. >>520
Why it needs to be senior-friendly? Because companies owe a certain level of responsibility to the society. It's called "corporate compliance". They always need to be considerate about how consumers feel of their activities.
Companies should immediately cease their own activities based on public opinions, even if what they are doing were reasonable and working very well for them.
Haven't you ever heard of the news that some commercials were dropped? Or they had to, because people hated it so badly that the requests were made by people with a petition.
I had no idea that movie was so popular that it made a huge hit, I can totally understand the other three though.
That alone doesn't really account for how well these anime are actually accepted by people. It might be? But maybe it was just the movie was exceptionally good.
But seriously, can you honestly say you won't feel uncomfortable/embarrassed even a bit with these anime ads being there all around you?
To make it easier for you to understand the point I'm trying to make here, I'll give you an example.
Let's suppose that you liked these anime, can you then proudly say it aloud that you like watching them to people around you, just as saying your hobbies are listening to music or playing sports?
If you can't, isn't that because you're embarrassed about it too? Think realistically here, because you do sound like you're saying all these stuff so you don't have to concede to other's opinions. This entangled guy is entwined by animations.
I hope the devine offer him salvation from damnation.
Elation only comes after this guy leaves here. What do you guys think about the tokyo medical university scandal?
Many international newspapers have been talking about this topic in the past few days. Like no joke, i keep seeing articles about it everywhere. >>528
The bad news is not only that.
Some Korean people who lives in Japan enter the famous university like Tokyo university without taking normal exam. From back door.
I can’t forgive the advantages of the kind of people. >Some Korean people who lives in Japan enter the famous university like Tokyo university without taking normal exam. From back door.
Really? >>530
Would be truth. That is why a lot of 5ch people hates and abuses the Korean. Or just misinformation. You know they like to spread misinformation and twist facts all the time. >>538
> >Some Korean people who lives in Japan enter the famous university like Tokyo university without taking normal exam. From back door.
>
> Really?
In what way is it?
Some priviledge from the government? >>531
> It's not tense. This is just normal conversation.
> And why would you, GOD, of all people, care about such a matter?
You say God knows everything. It is like a conspiracy theory or witch hunt by dishonest... I've heard this phrase in somewhere. >>533
Yep, the kind of people are given many privileges by the government.
In addition to that, most politicians in Japan are Korean.
It’s up to you wether you believe or not. >>526
If those ads are so unpopular among the public and get a lot of complaints, they will be dropped, like >>503 said. I never claimed anything contrary.
Not being senior-friendly doesn't necessarily mean being harmful to seniors. If it does mean that, it was just my poor English.
I just don't believe your premise that seniors are actually irritated by those commercials like you are.
And no, I don't feel uncomfortable with those ads at all, at least with those 3 commercials.
Like I said, I don't care if you hate anime or not. That's a matter of personal preference. If you hate it, you can hate it. That's not my business. too hot, is there any cool something? Read the previous comments here.
It's kind of horror and gives you chills. >>532
>>535
You mean that people are making up fake stories in order to distract from the main issue? That's very typical.
In my country the government does that very often. Every time there's a real scandal they come up with a fake scandal that's even bigger and more outrageous, but obviously fake. So the discussion strives away from the real issue to pointless fights.
However, right now the media all around the world is discussing the many ways in which japanese society discriminates against women.
I was wondering what do you think of this. Are you guys happy that this issue is finally being brough up? Or are you embarrassed or angry that japanese society is being criticized by people around the world? I don't care a bit how the world sees Japan.
But I'm pretty uncomfortable with being pointed at and branded "an oprrssor" when never in my life have I done anything discriminatory against women.
I do admit that I've been mean to some women sometimes but that's not because they're women.
I just don't like some people regardless of their sex. >>541
I see
so you are trying to say you like men
乁(✿ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)و This gaijin is a bona fide Trump suppoter. >>540
I don't know much about the university scandal, but if some filthy sickos got caught and exposed, then that's a good thing.
As for the foreign media calling our country an oppressive shithole, that's what they do everytime there is some scandal of that kind.
They did the same thing when some shitty male politician heckled some shitty female politician by yelling something about giving birth to children.
A bunch of western journalists gathered together and commented how awful it was.
If I remember correctly, some journalist from Europe (I think she was Bulgarian) was like this:
"Such a backward country... In this day and age, something like this would never happen in my country."
And I sometimes think I'm glad I wasn't born in the West because of things like this. By the way, if you search this thread, "イモ MM" posters seem to be either GOD or the site-advertising shill.
And since it's not GOD, ベーイモ MM56-d8l1 could be the shill.
His writing style seems to be different, but the shill has a record of attacking Koreans, so you should at least suspect him.
Either way, ベーイモ MM56-d8l1 is a troll of some sort. >>544
I think it's correct that Japan is a backward country.
Look at our country, how high the number of elderly people, the debt we hold.
I'm disappointed with this country. Japan cannot anything without the US.
Even more, that was one of aim for the West that Japan became weaker. Crooked people are gathering.
This thread becomes useless. PDUPCFS JT GJOJTIJOH.UJNFT GMZ. >>556
> Crooked people are gathering.
> This thread becomes useless.
Agree. Agree because of the someone who keeps posting the same link here. Fuck Justin Bieber’s sister. The evil personification. aretha franklin passed.... >>546
I think Japan will be non-backward if you stop whining like a dog and start supporting the right politicians, listening to the right economists/commentators, etc. I heard that zainichi koreans are burakumin. Is that true even today? Goodness is important, but it will be troubled if everyone becomes a good person. Violence is a necessary evil.
If so, stupidity and idiots would be necessary evil.
Even in the United States, a stupid president is chosen once in decades, but I think that is also necessary evil. >>555
The right politicians are nowhere to be seen in current Japan.
In my opinion,we’d better to live oneself without depending on politics. Stupid media too.
Also, I believe Trump is better than democrats like Hilary, Obama and Bush actually. But Japan follows democrats. A high IQ idiot is awkward. Idiots should be IQ lower. There's an another message board which makes you so happy.
http://bbs.sp.findfriends.jp/?pid=thread_detail&id=115921&pager_type=pager&page=1&w4&w4 I wish all 高学歴 people are dead. Politics should be entertainment. People are longing for interesting politics.
Serious politics is boring and there is nothing good. Cortana said "Happy birthday! At the risk of sounding cheesy, you put the cool in "coolest.""
But I can't understand that joke. Interpreting jokes is the most difficult.
When I ask Google assistant "make me laugh", their response is always incognizable for me. For example,
"How do you make a tissue dance?
Put a little boogie in it".
It just makes me confuse rather than laugh. >>562
They make me so inferior. How do you define the highly educated?
Most private schools have unique entrance exam systems so the fact that you went to privileged schools does not necessarily mean you made a high academic achievement or well prepared for the society. It's mostly idiots who have babies. Japan's birth rate is low because Japanese are smart. You should have to pass an IQ test to have a baby. If you fail, your baby gets burnt alive. There's an another message board which makes you so happy.

I don't think that's the evidence of smart. >>572
> Politics should be entertainment. People are longing for interesting politics.

進次郎 is an evidence. >>579

Sounds very nice for now. >>574
