Having the license is a huge advantage. That’s a big exaggetation. I had 1 grade of Eiken, 970/990 TOEIC score when I was a senior.

anyway, both aim is best but if you want to improve colloquial fluency, you need not get Eiken.
first, needed vocabulary is different. Eiken needs 15000 or more, but colloquial needs only 3000.
