Chat in English (英語で雑談) part 215
https://lavender.5ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1579957638/ media influenced by china is not only Asahi, NHK. we don't know well about Hokkaido
if we don't live there, but Hokkaido Shinbun's propaganda of CCP is badly malicious. I want to buy a TV which don't have NHK tuner. NHK is the most fucking media in japan. Don't you think so too ? guys. Welcome to NHK. Here is hell. I heard young people don't have TV set .YouTube is good enough. Youtube is good tools for my study. I watch Toaru Otoko Ga ... Channel and study Mathematic and etc that is very well. On YouTube we are able to make a selection what and when we see.
With the pictures which we take interest, we would get improvement
of our English.
We see English material simply, or see Japanese material
and put their words into English in a second.
The ways of learning are without limit. By the way, which do you put more weight to Input or Output
in your English learning? I think input is important for beginners. Output is important for advanced learners. Some YouTubers often say you need both.I don't agree. You should think about your level. I think good selection of Input is read more sentence.
My favorite books says that same things. Ah, weight? Ahahaha, I mistake answer.
I put weight to Input side. >>927
Your answer was good and may be right.
But I have a little different opinion.
Early learners have to do rather more outout first,
till they are able to make basic statements in a second.
After then, it is good to put weight on the input side of learning. Do you guys talk to native English speaking people on a daily basis?
Do you have native English speaking friends? I have some fuck buddies from America. >>929
Not at all. I've never sporken to a native speaker. If you speak in English in early stage, you don't need input. Because you can input from conversation. But you need those environment like on-line lesson or something. >>931
Do you want to have some native English speaking friends, or do you prefer not having such people at all? >>933
Making friends is good. But not for language. I already express anything I want to. I can't speak like a native speaker though. >>925
If you output, you need to read and collect information as materials to think.
I think the most desirable input method is like this way to be preceded by output.
mainly output means writing and speaking,
but generally speaking- skill is emphasized, but I prefer writing more than speaking.
as training, writing is better for beginners. >>935
I couldn't write sentences when I was beginner. Words didn't come out. I know writing works for leaning. But it was too hard. I started leaning French. I can read and listen easy sentences. But writing is hard for me. My generation didn't learn listening English at all. It's scary to have conversation without listening skill unless to have conversation with a teacher. >>937
if you can read some level book, you will easily be able to listen to its level book
after only a few listening lessons.
reading ability is closely related to listening ability. >>936
-----this is first memo to write ------
yes, writing is very difficult.
I have idea to write easy. if i want to some conseption, I derive keywords from its conseption.
and google it. then serch proper sentense related it. then compose sentense rewriting it.
----and this is conclusion ---
Yes, writing is very difficult.
I have an idea to write easily. if I want to some conception, I derive keywords from its conception.
And I google it on its keyword to search proper sentences related to it.
Then compose sentences after repeatedly rewriting it.
This is my writing method.
This time I didn't use google search. but when content is more complex,
I use google and search for similar ideas. The first memo shows my real writing ability. look! very bad.
and using Google translation and Grammarly, then I have rewritten it.
so even a beginner like me can do writing easily. Stop the fucking shit right there.
That's the reason why your sentences are hard to read. (・∀・)ケラケラケラ >>938
I didn't explain well. I can speak and listen English except listening movie. What I want to say is it's impossible to speak English in early stage. That's not my case. I'm not a beginner. You can't get writing ability before you get reading ability. Using Google translate is not real ability. So learners have to input first. But if your purpose is just convey your thought, you can take any ways. Mostly people want to improve his/her English ability. But someone seems to just want communication ability not English ability itself. >>943
"Tadoku" is an effective and appropriate method. If you want to read a high-level book,
reading a book translated into Japanese is a good way.
Similarly, using Google Translate is very convenient to improve writing skills. >>942
I know well. my saying is about general things. 'You' means a person. >>945
Yeah, if you can read smoothly, equal you can speak, listen, write some without practice. So getting reading skill is important. High level listening skill is ideal but it's much harder than reading skill. >>946
on conversations listening skill is important, I guess reading skill exist 2 types.
1. movie listening(colloquial type)
2. Audible listening(formal type)
both of them are difficult, but the 1st type is in point of sound analysis and
2nd type is in vocabulary and cognitive sense.
so the type of difficulty is different.
of course, one which links to reading skill is the 2nd type. How long do you continue this crappy talk show?
Some brainlet keeps trying to enlighten the others without
proper knowledge and ability. (・∀・)ケラケラケラ >>944
Google translate is artificial. As I said, if you can read smoothly, equal you can write some. You can look up how native speakers express by Google USA. You write your temporary sentence in searche box. You will not use an AI dictionary? of course, you use it.
It is the same if you use AI on writing. it is convenient to correct misspell, correct grammar errors.
You should use AI and write effectively.
Don't be afraid to try new techniques. you had better add what works well to your writing toolkit. I don't read to read, I read to create.
'eat play love' is my favorite book. I think BIG Magic by the same author is excellent for learning creative writing.
she also gave a speech in TED about Big magic. you can listen to it.
in this category, The Artist's Way is famous.
she says
Three times in the last decade I've committed to doing The Artist's Way's program,
and each time I've learned something important and surprising about myself and my work ...
Without The Artist's Way, there would have been no Eat, Pray, Love -- Elizabeth Gilbert You can do your way. I don't afraid use new thing. I just don't know. I don't like people who make new words. Japanese words has changed a lot. TTg There are lots of grammatical mistakes in new Japanese language. I don't want to change the language. It's not beautiful.
Besides it's hard to read English sentence by non native speakers who don't imitate. I don't know→I don't even know new things. Do you guys eat well? Sleep well? Stay healthy. Individuality and people who don't fit around are different. I don't want to hear new uncorrect Japanese anymore. Japanese was beautiful. People adapt uncorrect Japanese without suspicious. No (´・ω・`) and also order is the principal of healthy lives.
excreting, sleeping, eating, working in this order is best.
additionally, the beauty of language usage may be needed. For instance
知れて良かった(It was nice to know)
This is ら抜き(This is uncorrect in case of Japanese)
We don't ask like
知れた?(Got it?in Japanese) >>958
"You guys" means YOU and me. This is not another person's affair to you. This thread is getting very tense (><) No, there are only two people. hey guys!! we have a gift for you!!
it is enough that you only know this sentence. if you learn it, then as good as undersand English over 99%. Hi everybody.
I listening radio every day.
Then I heard word that "Aipo" or "Epo" several times in a day.
I can't detect what that is meaning.
Somebody know about that? I ate ramen for lunch. Yummy :) yes, I ate a special lunch too. I felt as if I was in some sort of heavenly place,
a place that was unlike anything I could ever imagine. It was unreal,
it felt so tasty, and I wanted nothing more than to just completely
indulge in the pleasure that I was going through. 968
French cuisine?
I got 6peaces of strawberry tea bags from Saizeriya. I'm so happy. that is not poo maybe...
I usually heard finance news channels so it meant be IPO?
But if it is true then that is not fit with other sentences I think... I made a plan. I spend 50000yen for food. I'm going to spend 10000yen this month. I save money and go somewhere after virus ends. don't be cheap with food expenses.
but don't eat too much.
if you want to save money, only to stop eating out is enough. >>969
no, she is Japanese. America really is a third-world country. Save me. i've started to feel sick of people talking about the covid 19 issues.
we should have a lot of pleasent topics to bring up instead
but people only talk about the virus every day. i had a casual meeting with a section manager and representative director
to talk about the amount of the summer bonus this morning.
to be honest, the amount is like "寸志" but i thought i should've felt happy to at least
be given "寸志" bonus in this economic crisis... it is extremely better than to be fired. "It’s so weird living in Switzerland and being used to it and then seeing people come here and experience it hahaha"
I estimated that a person who had written this must be Japanese.
why? it is because the last of the sentence is hahaha.
after that, I surprised that I found 'hahaha' an English. I studied English today again. Lesson video taught me slang like flawless、regulation、hottie、 coolness、 to insure、 queen be、back - stabbing、slice.
A movie in the video is just 5minutes long. But it has lots of slang. This is the reason why I don't understand movie. Mainland China's worst Societal Problem!

Yuki Wang comments on watching this
This made me cry, a lot; something inside me just snapped.
When I recalled an experience of myself needing serious help.
People will say that I'm overreacting, so here's a txtdmp: (for anyone that cares to read) I readed article of BBC news. But that article is very short so I dissatisfied.
I want read middle size article but that is not contain in site many. >>984
My grammer is strange? I read the article on BBC news. But that article is very short so I dissatisfied.
I want to read middle size article but that is not contained in site many. Grammarly and Google translater is exceedingly useful.
but they often mistake. Don't believe it completely. >>986
>>987
Oh, Thanks. I have been known only Google Translator.
I try to use that application. release your mindset to write freely. a mistake is not minded.
but you had better use correct English as more as possible.
to use Grammarly is one way to write much freely.
write much. read much. let you immerse in English. we use often 'very' because we are poor in vocabulary.
to use 'very' very much is seen in a beginner.
Google translater have function to list up synonym like 'quite', 'exceedingly', and so on.
this function is quite convenient not to take the same words repeatedly. a quite important mindset in writing
1. mistake is henokappa
2. not use very very much
3. to write much
I hope strongly that 'henokappa' is added to the oxford dictionary. I have heard an American people says "very very much"
But you may just mean don't say "very much." You mean don't say "very"
I understand now Today, I studied the to-infinitive (不定詞) and verb tence(時制). Can you explain what you studied today here?
I think quite a lot of people what to know it. >>992
It doesn't make sense. "Making mistakes is OK but using the same words isn't OK." >>996
Do you mean "a lot of people already know it?" このスレッドは1000を超えました。
