(第3パラグラフ全文) An additional problem in Japan is that it is extremely difficult to be a working mother. 【About 70% of women in Japan leave the workforce after having their first baby, compared to less than half that number in the United States.】 There are a number of causes for this, including a shortage of affordable childcare centers and outdated views about the roles of mothers in society.

I can't really explain what makes it sounds unnatural but it truly is. My hunch is that the writing contains a lot of phrases which I don't see often when I read English written by natives (or very fluent non-natives).
I recently have been spending way too much time here, much more than I should. From what I have seen in the past week, I know that there are at least two guys who have decent understanding of english and the two posts you pointed are the ones written by these two guys.

I can respond to you in any way you like. But first, you've got to make your point clear.
What exactly do you mean by saying those who write long comments in Japanese are actually not good at English?
In my own experience, I've seen most of guys who write long in Japanese are actually good at thinking and well-read, as a result of a lot of reading at least in Japanese. Some of them may not be perfect in English, but at least they're fairly good at communicating in Japanese. And if those same people tend to visit this kind of website frequently, it usually means they're serious in learning English. Most probably many of them are already very good at English.
By the way, you wrote: "long sentences." Most Japanese tend to put it that way. But I think it's awkwardly put. It's actually wrong. You actually mean something like "long comments," not long sentences. A sentence means a piece of text between periods. People who write very long sentences may write very short comments. 0227名無しさん@英語勉強中 (ワッチョイ df1e-exWc)2018/03/06(火) 18:34:29.06ID:LFnE9LTV0 The more correct sentences we read or hear and correct usage we become familiar with, the easier it will be for us to identify when something sounds or feels wrong. 0228名無しさん@英語勉強中 (ドコグロ MMbb-PcCl)2018/03/06(火) 18:36:44.46ID:ziydg0uxM ネイティブチェック出すと、どんな強者でもネイティブとの違いを自覚せんわけにはいかなくなるわなw

Besides, who are you to judge someone else's English? What are your credentials? Why don't you write some lengthy prose on how "excellent" your English is to lead by example? From the look of the sentences you put together above, you aren't in any position to tell who writes good English. ということは、on hold pending funds は、長い文で説明すると This product is kept on hold until you pay the price. という意味であって、「代金支払いまでのあいだは保留」とか 「この製品は、代金を支払ってくれるまでは保留にしますよ(在庫として 置いておきますよ)」という意味だと思う。
