《Way of Perfection》 At dawn, the people of the City glimpsed the silhouette of a huge mountain on the horizon , but it quickly disappeared in the morning haze. The fog parted, revealing a garden with magnificent cherry trees. Their petals dance in the wind all over the City. Will Hanami - a celebration of cherry blossoms - bring harmony to our souls?
Ah, mon ami, just breathe in that divine sent of the cherry blossoms! I want to believe that the City has opened the Japanese Garden to us a reward for all our efforts! But it seems like some real trials await us among the blossoming cherry trees. Look, this scroll was nailed to a post at the Garden's gate. - Trials, really?
Welcome to the Japanese Garden. Here you shall pass the Trial of Mastery to prove that your existence has meaning. If you succeed, you will receive an immaculate cherry blossom that will allow you to see the hidden meaning of things.
To receive it, five brave souls must pass the Trial and prove their perfect mastery of a chosen discipline. But should even one of them falter, all five will lose the abilities they value most.
And if no one dares to pass the Trial, then everlasting sleep shall engulf all the inferior cowards that inhabit this City.
The Japanese Garden full of blossoming cherry trees is a serious threat to the City. If five of us don't agree to undergo the Trials of Perfection, the whole City will fall into eternal slumber thanks to the will of the magical Garden. And should the contestants fail, they will lose their most sacred talents. I hope the City has good reasons for such harsh terms... - It looks like we have little choice
[Garden of Perfection] I hate ultimatums, buddy! But this scroll explaining the trials is scary. Still, this could just be someone's bad joke or the desire to test one's strength. Let's enter the Garden and find out for sure. Open these accursed gates and let's see who's being so clever!
【Japanese Garden】 The fragrant cherry tree petals are dancing in the wind. Spirit dwellings are hiding amongst the moss and the stream is bubbling. However, challenging trials await us within the majestic nature of the Japanese Garden!
A whirlwind of fragrant petals welcomed us as we opened the gate. Maybe the instigator of this Trial are hiding somewhere inside? From here, I can't see any equipment for a competition. So what is this Trial, exactly?
The Japanese Garden appeared out of nowhere, and the scroll on its gates offered us the Trial of Perfection. If we refuse, the whole City will fall into eternal slumber. We need to demonstrate our skill in various Japanese arts. Who are the brave souls that will do this?
The philosophy of the Japanese Garden is simple: " be the best or die." Five heroes from the City must achieve perfection in special disciplines. Who is worthy enough to pass the first Trial - the Way of the Perfect Warrior? >Achieve warrior's perfection.
" be the best or die."
[Cruel Starts] I will not refuse the Trial from Japanese Garden, lest we all fall into eternal sleep. Better to fight, fail and be punished than to surrender! I'll be the one to follow the way of the warrior. Look for Japanese weapons and armor in the Garden so that I can sharpen my warrior skills. How about some Shurikens?
I will not refuse〜、I'll be the one〜 と結構 will を入れて話しています。
Be careful with these Shurikens. They're sharp! They are usually attributed to the enigmatic ninja, but samurai sometimes uses shurikens as well. I'll begin my training.
The Garden looks peaceful, and the beauty of the cherry trees is spellbinding. But we need to pass the Trials and for that we need five brave heroes. While exploring the Garden, I found a letter with the general meaning of " be the best or die". That's Japanese perfection for you. It also contained the list of the five Trials. The first one is the Trial of Valor, "the way of the perfect warrior". How do we pass it? - Let's ask our warriors
[Famous Blade] The Huntress is an incredibly brave woman. If she doesn't master all the samurai tricks and fails the Warrior Trial, the Japanese Garden will take away her strength and fighting skills. Let's help her became the perfect Japanese warrior and find a Katana in the Garden.
I've read about Katana. They are a true symbol of a Japanese warrior! Take it to the Huntress. I believe that she can master it and pass the Warrior Trial.
[Rigid Protection] I believe in the Huntress's ability to master any weapon and pass the Warrior Trail, but a skillful warrior also knows how to defend themselves. I once wanted to make her a piece of armor and studied the samurai armor called Kikko, and today I saw one in the Garden for it!
The Kikko Armor's hexagonal plates will protect the Huntress form enemy blows. But the armor is rigid and will take some time to get used to.
[Warrior's Steadiness] The Huntress needs to be fully armed for the Trial of Valor. A successful fighter needs not only good technique, but also obvious stability and protective footwear. I've read about samurai Kogake Shoes. Maybe there's a pair somewhere in the Garden. Look for the Kogake!
Are those samurai Kogake Shoes? They are made of very firm leather! I hope the Huntress will be comfortable in them, otherwise she will fail the Warrior Trial.
The armor of the Japanese samurai is heavy and their weapons require tremendous skill. I'm training day and night in order to pass the Trial of Valor. I'm exhausted and my muscles ache from incredible strain. I'm at the limit of my strength! I feel that a lot is expected of me. Unseen observers in the Garden are preparing to assess my skills! This... frightens me. - We believe in you
(looks like a ghost, a ball with a handkerchief over it; it's a traditional Japanese charm to bring good weather called a teru teru bozu) Look like a kids phantom.
[Hunting the Werewolf] Just a moment ago you were alive and now you lie dead; such is the bitter philosophy of life. If I seem bloodthirsty - I hate these creatures with all heart, just like the Huntress. If this werewolf is one of Valerie's kidnappers, where did they take her? I never thought I'd say this of a woman but I'm worried about the girl!
If I seem bloodthirsty - I hate these creatures with all heart, just like the Huntress. (seem ≒ look like)
I never thought I'd say this of a woman but I'm worried about the girl!
I never thought (主節) I'd say this of a woman (従属節)(時制の一致でwilが過去形になる)
I never thought (I'd say this )of a woman.
[The Toughest Knot] I have some idea about the traditions of the Japanese samurai and could help the Huntress prepare for the Warrior Trial. Symbols have just as much meaning as combat skills for the perfect warriors of this country. Look for an Armor Knot in the Garden, and I'll explain everything.
This knot holds the armor of the samurai together and its shape symbolizes the personality of the warrior. Let this Armor Knot bring the Huntress the favor of our ancestors.
[Perfect Warrior] We've assembled almost a full set of samurai armor and I've perfected my katana and shuriken skills. But will this help me pass the Warrior Trial in the Japanese Garden? I must not be defeated! The whole City is counting on me! Call on the power of the City to help me, then let's begin the Trial! Quick, before I cange my mind.
0710名無し戦隊ナノレンジャー!2018/04/20(金) 23:57:43.46 The artifacts and the faith of the townspeople lend me strength to follow the way of the warrior. Hey, judges of the Japanese Garden, I'm ready for the Trial! Protective stance. Calm. Two-handed katana grip. Lunge. Defense. Water strider gliding across the lake. Yes I did it! I will wear this samurai helmet with pride.
The Huntress passed the Trial of Valor as a perfect warrior! Just like the best samurai of the old days. As a reward, she received a majestic and slightly frightening helmet… Kabuto. I saw one like this in a reference book at City Hall. Look, it has a cherry blossom coat of arms! Maybe it symbolizers part of the perfect flower that will appear if the five champions pass the Trial? I also found a letter. - Let's read it
The Way of Valor is not easy to follow. A true samurai must be a faithful, righteous and brave warrior. The best warrior is one who possesses all three virtues. So says the Bushido Code.
Your champion has passed the Warrior Trial. She learned that perfection lies not just in the way one holds one's blade.
However, this valiant woman will lose her skill if the other four worthy champions fail to prove their perfection.
The Huntress proved that she is a perfect warrior who knows more than just how to use force. It's more philosophy than skill! If the four other heroes rise to the occasion, she will leave the Garden as the City's greatest warrior! Or she will leave it broken and weak, unable to hold weapons in her shaking hands. Let's hurry. - The second Trial awaits
The Japanese Garden is subjecting us to harsh Trials. But the promised reward - mastery and the perfect cherry blossom that reveals the essence of things - is worth the risk. The letter from the Garden's unseen judges says that the second Trial is Way of Contemplation. My money is on Martha. Being a medium, she has spent years perfecting her concentration and is ready for this Trial better than any of us. But what does this Trial entail? - Martha may know
※My money is on Martha.
