終戦記念日前に書こうと思ってたのに過ぎてしまったけど、「忘れない」の時期だね。
最初聴いたとき軽快なリズムで韻も踏んでて可愛らしい曲かと思ってたけど、「血で血を洗った」で
戦争の歌だと気づいてなんかゾクッとしたよ。
でも心に響く好きな歌だ。

　国民的な人気を誇るフジテレビ系アニメ「ちびまる子ちゃん」（日曜・後６時）で主人公・まる子の声を３４年間務めた声優でシンガー・ソングライターのＴＡＲＡＫＯ（タラコ＝本名非公表）さんが４日未明に死去した。６３歳だった。９日に所属事務所や同局が発表した。今年に入り体調を崩し、闘病しながら仕事を続けていたが、容体が急変したという。

　ＴＡＲＡＫＯさんは「まる子」に出会うまでの駆けだしの声優時代、その特徴的な声がコンプレックスのひとつだったという。少年のヒーローにも、可憐（かれん）なヒロインにもなれず「主役向きの声ではない」と落とされてばかり。そんな中で、さくらさんに「声がそっくり」というまる子役に出会い、等身大のおしゃべりがキャラクターになる縁を得た。

　ファンの間で語り継がれる伝説のラジオがある。１９９２年２月１７日の「さくらももこのオールナイトニッポン」。パーソナリティーのさくらさん、さくらさんと声が似ているとウワサになっていたシンガー・ソングライターのイルカ、ＴＡＲＡＫＯさんの３人が集い、「誰が誰だか分からない」とリスナーを混乱に陥れた放送があり、本人たちもことあるごとに笑い話に。ＴＡＲＡＫＯさんも１８年の「ありがとうの会」で「似てるって、こんなに幸せでうれしくてありがたくて、なんかグッとくるものなんだなっていうことも、ももこちゃんが教えてくれました」と語るほどだった。

　私生活では４匹の保護猫と生活。公式ブログでは、猫への愛や「ちびまる子ちゃん」アフレコの様子、主宰する劇団「ＷＡＫＵプロデュース」での舞台製作に精力的に打ち込む様子をつづっていた。

While still an infant, he was taken from his mother and given to a Hollywood trainer, who then gave him to be a pet chimpanzee for the world-famous pop singer Michael Jackson. When he was only four years old, he went to Japan on a promotional tour with Jackson.
A couple of years later, when Bubbles grew too strong to be around people, he was “retired” from show biz and sent to the trainer’s California animal compound. Bubbles arrived at the Center for Great Apes in March 2005 with a large group of chimpanzees, all from the entertainment world.
Jackson always maintained ownership of Bubbles, his first and favorite chimpanzee, whom he treated like a son. After his death, Michael Jackson’s Estate has continued to support the annual care costs for Bubbles at the sanctuary.
As a physically imposing 185-pound, 4½-foot adult male, Bubbles is now treated as the dominant male in his group of chimpanzees.

小4でBAKUを知ってから車谷くんのファンだったけど、音楽の先生とか音楽教えてくれるお兄さんみたいな存在だったから、AIRもふむふむ、って聴いてた。
パンク少年の車谷くんが好きだった自分は、KJとのコラボで冷めてしまって、最近25年振りに聴いてる。冷めたあとの楽曲聴くと全然ヒップホップじゃなくて良曲たくさんあってもったいないことした。聴いたことない曲でも声が懐かしくて泣いた。
Spiral LifeもAIRも25年あけて聴くと歌詞の解釈が違ってきて、自分ちょっと成長したのかな、とか感慨深いし、阿部くんを失った痛みとか当時全然分かってなかったなと痛感する。

車谷くんの封印解いたきっかけが、阿部くんと幼稚園から中学まで同じクラスだったという人とSNSで知り合ったからなんだよね。全然違う話題で仲良くなって、たまたまSpiral Lifeの曲を使ってポストしたら、「BAKU知ってますか？」って。
その人は同級生の阿部くんがデビューするらしいってくらいしか知らなかったし今も全く知らないけど、阿部くんのお葬式にたくさんファンが来てびっくりしたらしい。
BAKUのインディーズ時代の動画探しまくってその人に当時の阿部くんのことをシェアしたり、逆に阿部くんのこと教わってるうちに色んなこと思い出しちゃって。
同級生みんなで「天までとどけ」聴いて泣いたって言ってた。小学校までは学年にクラス1つしかない環境だったらしくて、特に仲良くなくても家族みたいな感じだったそうで。それ聞いて私も泣いた。
昔から、BAKUの解散で泣いて、Spiral Lifeのデビューのニュースで嬉し泣きして、、、車谷くんに何回も泣かされてきたなー。
車谷くんも色んな大変なことがあったのに、生きてくれてて本当にありがとう。

私もデビュー直後に知って、その頃まだぎりぎりインディーズ時代のものも売られてたから、お小遣いはたいて、足りない分は叔母にねだって、全部買い漁った。
出身校や実家エリアの地名は名前だけ知ってるけど、栃木の土地勘全くないから、大田原と小山がそんなに離れてるの知らなかった。ありがとう。
車谷くんフリークだったのは小学4年生〜20歳にならないくらいの期間で、親が音楽に興味無いしライブに行くなんてヤンキーだ、って考えの人だから、生の車谷くん見たことなくて。でもサブカルへの道に導いてくれたのは確実に車谷くんだし、もはや人格形成にも多大な影響を受けたと思ってる。
Laika今年もライブやるかな。いつか生の車谷くん拝みたい。できることなら直接感謝を伝えてみたいな。あとKJとコラボしたのと同じ頃、何のだったか定かじゃないけどVHSに収録されたライブの打ち上げ映像かなんかで、ち●こギター見せられて百年の恋冷めさせられたことお伝えしたい。その瞬間に車谷くんの全部を箱詰めしてがちがちに固めて最近まで埋めてた。ぷちょはんずあっぷも割と嫌だったけど、こっちの方がすごい嫌だった。この時も泣いた。若かったなー。

さすがにもう、そんなことも知らない歳ではないよ。
もう25年前のことだし私も歳とった。
今思うと、例えばファン層ガラッと変えたかったとか、何か考えがあってやったことなのかもなーと思ったりもするけど、そんなこんなのおかげで冷凍保存してたAIRの新曲が聴けて幸せ。
ここ2日ほどlet me know, let you knowをエンドレスリピートしてる。kiss me againみたいなのが好きだった私も好みが落ち着いて、この曲の優しいメロディと歌詞と懐かしい声が染みる。
25年凍結しといて良かったかもしれない。
Laikaは手付かずでまだ楽しみがあるし、ある意味ち●こギターに感謝w
