また double issue の時期か。
double issue を知らず、今週号はやけに量が多いなと思いながら、
なんとか一週間で読み終えほっとしたら、次はお休みだと知り

fermiもNeumanみたいな計算が得意なタイプだったとわかった 単語どうしてる?過去に引いたことがある単語が多くて、見たことがある単語なんだけど
だけど意味を知らないというのが多々ある。単語の意味がわからなくても、文章で
何を言ってるかはわかる程度には読めてる。単語をどうするかということなんだよね。
わからないものに線を引いて覚えるべきか、それともアルクの英単語の本を目を
通して知らないものに印をつけてそれだけ覚えてしまうべきか 解約メールを二送ったが無視。

文法、訳読中心の受験英語はまずまず得意だったし、
海外支店や経済関連の英文を読むことが多い部署で仕事をしたことが
あったから、
読むことにはそこそこ自信はあったけど、economistを読み始めたときは
全く歯がたたなかった。
受験生のとき数ページで挫折した新々英文解釈研究をじっくり2回繰り返した
あとは、多少は楽になったけど、
やはり、実際の記事を文法書や辞書の助けを借りて精読していくことしか
ないだろうな、という気がする。 >>596

そうですね。こまめに辞書を自分も引いています。 アジア版とヨーロッパ版は記事は同じなんだけど、並びが違ってて、
アジア版はアジアのことが最初に出てくる。だから中東とかには詳しくなるけど
その週の分を途中で終わるときには、ヨーロッパまでたどり着かない economistが難しいのは知らない単語がたくさん出てくることかな。 今読みかけの記事から
