それはべつにかまわない。あれはマーク・トウェインさんてゆう人がつくった本で、まあ
だいたいはホントのことが書いてある。
ところどころこちょうしたとこもあるけど、だいたいはホントのことが書いてある。べつに
それくらいなんでもない。だれだってどこかで、一どや二どはウソつくものだから。まあ
ポリーおばさんとか未ぼう人とか、それとメアリなんかはべつかもしれないけど。
ポリーおばさん、つまりトムのポリーおばさん、あとメアリやダグラス未ぼう人のことも、
みんなその本に書いてある。で、その本は、だいたいはホントのことが書いてあるんだ、
さっき言ったとおり、ところどころこちょうもあるんだけど。

古臭くて、くだらない英語の小説なんか苦労して読む必要ないと思う。
長い時間かけて難問パズルを解くかのように英語の本と格闘して、
その影響でまともな日本の文献を読む時間も奪われるので馬鹿に
なってしまうよ。
英語好きって結構、一般常識のない馬鹿が多いのだよ。この掲示板を
見れば一目瞭然だ。
まずは英字新聞を読むことだね。トランプがどうしたとかのつまらない
記事ばかりじゃない。経済、社会、スポーツ、文化、芸能・・・いろんな記事が
ある。世の中の出来事、全てのことが対象だから読んでいるだけで物知りに
なってしまう。
「事実は小説より奇なり」・・・、調査レポートなんか特に面白い。自分の興味
のある分野の記事は容易に見つけることができるだろう。小説なんか短編で
あっても読み終えるのに何日もかかるだろうし、まだ、読む実力がついていな
い段階ではきっと途中で飽きてしまって長続きしないだろう。
まずは、英字新聞で語彙力を増加し、読解力を鍛えることが、結局は英文小説
を読む早道なのであるさｗ。

英字新聞は「one sitting」の隙間時間で読める。英字新聞の面白さ、楽しさを知っ
てもらうためいくつかの記事（抜粋）を紹介してみよう。

リトワニア外交官だった杉原千畝の「命のビザ」のエピソードは、
外国から広まってきたものだ。恩を受けた人はその恩を忘れない。
杉原は、外務省の訓令に違反して、ユダヤ人やナチスからの亡命者に
日本への通過ビザを発給した。押し寄せる難民に同情し、その結果を
省みず誰にでも発給した。そのために何千人もの人の命が救われた。
その人たちの子孫は何万人もいるという。
人間の人間に対する美しい行為が後世に語り継がれていくことは
よいことだ。イスラエルにあった顕彰碑は、一度は破壊されたが、それ
を知った子孫たちによって別の場所に復元された。

外務省の訓令に違反した杉原は戦後まもなく依願退職に追い込まれた。
たとえ、それが人道的行為であったとしても、外交官として国家意思に
反した杉原は外務省から憎まれ冷遇されたのである。
一方、真珠湾で外交交渉決裂の通告遅延に責任があったとされる外交官
は戦後、順調に栄達した。この差は、通告遅延が個人の過失ではなく、
参謀本部が仕組んだ意図的な工作だったことを裏付けている。

Within days admonishments from Tokyo reached the wayward consul;
“Recently we discovered Lithuanians who posses our transit visas
which you issued,” a cable of August 16 read. “They were traveling to
America and Canada. Among them there are several people who do
not possess enough money and who have not finished their procedure
to receive their entry visas to the terminal countries. We cannot give
them permission to land. And in regard to these cases, there were
several instances that left us confused and we do not know what to do….
You must make sure that they have finished their procedure for their
entry visas and also they must posses the travel money or the money
that they need during their stay in Japan.　Otherwise, you should not give
them the transit visa.”

Sugihara remained undeterred: He continued signing visas even from the
window of an already moving train as he and his family were leaving for Berlin.
He issued more visas in Prague and possibly in Konigsberg.
The German were certainly not adverse to the illegal departure of Jews
from the territory of the Reich.
Sugihara may have issued up to ten thousand visas, and possibly half
the number of Jews who received them managed to survive. There is no
concrete clue about his thoughts and motives: “I did not pay any attention
[to consequences], ”he wrote in a postwar memoir, “and just acted
according to my sense of human justice, out of love for mankind.”(194頁)

おおざっぱな話ですが、まだ真珠湾以前のことなので日本国内では各国の大使館・領事館が通常の業務を行っていました

そこで、杉原案は「日本に一時滞在している間に受け入れ国の入国ビザを得たらいい」

リトアニアからの脱出はシベリア鉄道でウラジオストックに行き、そこから

he issued visas. On August 10, 1940, against instructions of the

whatever), Sugihara started issuing Japanese transit visas to all
the Jews who reached his consulate,

自分の判断で・・・・法治国家で役人にそんな権限はない。
領事はビザを発給できるが、あくまで外務省の訓令に従ってだ。
官吏が勝手に自分の判断で職務を執行したらクビだ。
杉原の行為は明らかな訓令無視（最終目的地の入国と充分な資金の
保持等を確認）で、職務違反行為であった。しかも、本省からの是正勧告
にもかかわらず杉原は発給し続けた。外務省は激怒した。
日本に行き先も定まらず旅費もないユダヤ人が大挙、押し寄せて
くるからだ。外務省は取扱いに苦慮した。長期の滞在で地方当局との
国内調整も必要であり、他省へのメンツも丸つぶれ。またドイツとの国
際的な関係を配慮しなければならない。かと言って入国拒否すれば
非人道的と非難を受けてしまう。なぜならユダヤ人は世界の経済界、
政界に隠然とした勢力を持っているからだ。

外務省幹部は「杉原は命令を無視して勝手なことをしてとんでもない
野郎だ、即刻、解職して召喚すべきだ。杉原はユダヤ人から多額の
金をもらって蓄財している涜職野郎ではないか？」と怒り憎んだ。

その後、ベルリンに移った杉原は、次々とドイツ国防軍の軍事車両や
人員がソ連国境へと移動してゆくのを確認し、「独ソ戦近し」の極秘
重大情報を打電した。しかし、外務当局からは憎まれていたので杉原
情報は無視された。「あの野郎のもたらす情報は信憑性に乏しい！」と。

ここで歴史のifが登場する。もし、杉原が忠実な外務官僚で、本流の
派閥に属し後ろ盾もある官僚だったら、その後の日本の運命をも左右
したこの情報はどう取り扱われただろうか？

ノモンハンの時に、どこだったか鉄道の駅で戦車が列車に載っているのを見た
人がいて、その情報が日本側に伝わったかしたんだけど、うまく伝わらなくて、
日本側は対策を立てずに、ノモンハンで多数の死者を出したというのがあるよね。
その戦争に、尾崎という朝日新聞記者が関わっているんだっけ？尾崎というのは
スパイだったので日本で殺された何とか事件の尾崎だけど。

独ソ戦の場合は、もしその情報を日本側が信じていたら南方に部隊を移動させることは
せずにシベリアを占領してたでしょうね。ソ連はドイツと戦った地域にすべての兵力を
集中させてたのかな？二分させて日本とも戦ってもソ連が勝ててたということはないのかな。

ヒトラーって占領した地域の兵隊を併合して、その人たちに別の国を攻撃させるということを
してなかったんじゃないのかな？時間も短かったでしょ？そんなことすると、第三国を攻撃させるために
十分な兵器を持たせて出したはずの、かつての被占領国軍が、途中で引き返してきて、
ドイツ軍の野営地や基地を攻撃するという、足利尊氏や明智光秀がしたこと
みたいなことをやられそう。
被占領国の兵隊に第三国を攻撃させるというのは中国のやり方です。元寇で沈んだのは、
中国に占領され、軍を派遣した朝鮮の船だったわけです。

それで、そういう風に被占領国の軍隊を自分の持ち駒として使えるという、
オセロの駒がいきなりひっくり返った時のようなことが起きなければ、
ソ連を支配したとしても、兵力を弱めるくらいにしかならなくて、
短期間における対アメリカ戦での有利をドイツはてにいれてないかも。
ドイツはソ連を抑えることで背後から攻められる恐れは無くなっていただろうが、
アメリカが背後についたイギリスを倒すことはできなかったかもしれない。
結局、戦争を始めた時からどんなにロシアが勝っても、先は見えてたんだよ。
アメリカに勝てることはドイツがどんなに頑張ってもなかったということでしょうね。

アドルフ・ヒトラーは1889年4月２0日の夕暮れどき、オーストリアと
ドイツ・バヴァリアとの国境を流れるイン河畔にある、ブラウナウと
いう小さな町の「ポムメル川」という旅館で生まれた。（彼の生涯は
1945年4月30日に終わるまでの56年間である。）
当時のオーストリアは現在のチェッコスロバキア、ハンガリー、
ポーランドの一部、ユーゴスラヴィアを含む多民族国家であった。
このため、ビスマルクのドイツ統一から除外され、オーストリアの
ドイツ系の人々は自分達を見捨てられたドイツ人であると思うことに
なる。ヒトラーも自分をオーストラリア人ではなくドイツ人、それも
ドイツ帝国の建設とドイツ帝国から不当にも締めだされた見捨てら
れたドイツ人だと思っていた。

第一次大戦は、1914年6月28日のサラエボ事件をきっかけとして三国同盟側のドイツ、
オーストラリア、オスマン帝国、ブルガリアの４か国と、三国協商側のフランス、イギリス、
ロシア他２４か国の連合軍が戦った空前の大戦争だった。そもそもドイツは短期決戦で
勝利する計画であった。しかし、ベルギーの抵抗でフランス侵攻に手間取り、ロシアの
動員体制が予想より早かったのでドイツの短期決戦の作戦は挫折してしまった。そして
フランス側の西部戦線は一進一退の膠着状態となった。
1917年、ロシアは革命により離脱したが、新たにアメリカがあらたに連合国側に参戦した。

1918年、ドイツの同盟国ブルガリアはマケドニア戦線で連合国に敗れ、休戦協定により
戦線を離れた。10月にはハンガリーで革命が起こり10月17日、オーストリア帝国から
独立を宣言した。10月29日にはユーゴがオーストリアからの独立を宣言した。トルコは
10月30日、連合国と休戦協定を結んだ。オーストリアも11月3日、連合国と休戦協定を
結んだ。ついにドイツは単独で連合国と戦うことになった。

10月28日、ドイツ海軍はイギリスとの最終決戦のためドイツ艦隊に出撃を命じたが、
キール軍港の水兵が反乱を起こした。水兵600人が逮捕されると、キール市の労働者
と水兵の評議会が武装蜂起し、北ドイツに反乱が広がった。
11月9日にはベルリンで労働者のゼネストが行われ、リープクネヒトらのスパルタクス団
（共産党）が武装蜂起した。
ドイツ陸軍ルーデンドルフ将軍から早期休戦を要請されていたドイツの宰相マックスは、
既に10月に連合国側に名誉ある停戦を申し込んでいたが、アメリカによって拒否され
ていた。しかし、情勢は急変した。ドイツがロシアと同様に共産主義化する可能性が
高まったので連合国側はただちに休戦協定を結ぶことを決めた。
革命派に政権が落ちるのをおそれた宰相マックスは11月9日、皇帝の退位を宣言し、
穏健な社会民主党のエーベルトに政権を譲った。

They insist upon radical social improvements, including better working conditions,
housing and food.
Wilhelm Ⅱvirtually ignored social programs while he ruled. He was more interested　
in international affairs and military conquest. Occasionally,he advocated social
reforms.But he was just as likely to respond to calls for social improvements
with radicals flourished. And they took their cues for new and even revolutionary　
experiments from the Bolshevikes in Russia.

Germany’s setbacks on the field of battle this year seemed to seal Wilhelm’s
fate. There are a number of people in the country who feel that Wilhelm’s
imperialist machinations were partly responsible for the outbreak of the war.
But he had little to do with military maneuvers on the field of battle.
And President Wilson insisted on Wilhelm’s abdication as a pre-condition of
peace negotiations.

One of his first acts was to sue for peace according to the January

The United States has sent four million troops to Europe;since January,
nearly 50,000 have died. Wilson seeks assurances that the fighting is
truly over.He demands an evacuation of all occupied territory.
Germany must provide safeguards and guarantees of the Allies’military
supremacy. Perhaps most important, he seeks some proof that Germany
has “reformed,” a veiled request for the abdication of the Kaiser.

On November 8, Mattias Erzberger,head of the catholic centrists,
led other German representatives to a spot outside Allied headquarters
at Compiegne.
They met with Marshal Foch, who took two days calculating the surrender
demands. Germany was asked to give up its heavy guns and aircraft,
5,000 trucks,5,000 train engines and 150,000 railroad cars. Large warships
and most of the submarines will be docked at Allied ports. German troops
in Austria-Hungary, Rumania, Turkey and Russia must retreat at once.
Territory west of the Rhine must be evacuated.

On November 11, Erzberger and his compatriots agreed to the terms
and signed the armistice in Foch’s private railway car.

によって刺されたのだ！」という伝説を！
戦争が終わって1年後の国会の公聴会でヒンデンブルグは、「英国の一
将軍が極めて適切に言ったようにドイツ軍は背後から刺されたのである」と
初めて言及した。
ドイツ軍は巧妙に立ち回って軍指導者が強要した休戦に共和政府をして
署名させ、そのあとではヴェルサイユ平和条約を受諾するように勧告した
ことなどには全く頬かむりして、責任者は「11月の犯罪人ども」だと繰り返し
痛罵したのである。
事実は、社会民主党はボルシェビキ革命を防止するためにしぶしぶ政権を
引き受けたのであり、ドイツの崩壊に責任はなかった。臨時政府は党や階級
の利益を犠牲にして、自分達の責任ではない危機の中で、ドイツの結束を
保とうと愛国的な義務をつくしたに過ぎなかった。

数百万のドイツ人はこの事実には目を閉じ、敗戦と自分達の汚辱と悲惨に
対しての人身御供を見つけたのである。そうしなければならなかったのである。

ドイツ民族は他者に責任転嫁して、自分の行動を正当化する、いわゆる
心理学でいう「合理化」を常套とする。例えば、第二次世界大戦での暴虐、
ユダヤ人虐殺を「すべてはヒトラーとナチスのせいで自分達には責任はない。」と
総括したように。
第一次世界大戦の敗戦の責任も「背後からぐさりとやった卑怯者（社会民
主党・左翼）」のせいだと合理化したのである。

The two appointments were widely welcomed in the army and German political

何故、戦争が起きるのか？基本的には「勢力拡大」だろうと自分は思う。
自国の領土の開発振興をする。すると富も蓄積し、人口も増える。すると、
そのはけ口が必要になる。隣国が弱ければ隣国を侵略して征服する。
弱肉強食だ。あくなき欲望だ。その力と力の対立が時代を動かしてゆく。

近代、現代になると規模が拡大し、「民族対立」「歴史背景」「国土狭小」
「資源貧弱」「人口過多」「宗教対立」「経済の世界化」「恐慌」「ブロック化」
「イデオロギー対立」等・・・歴史を動かしてゆく要因が複雑になってくる。
また、様々な資料が手に入る。何故、多大な損害を出してまで無謀な戦争
をするのか？その理由をスパッと単純に割り切って理解するのが難しい。

ヨーロッパの歴史は特に難しい。多くの国が生じて滅びていて一貫した国家が
継続していない。そもそも第一次世界大戦が起きた理由がよくわからない。
セルビアでオーストリアの皇太子が暗殺された。ドイツはオーストリアと同盟
国だが、何故、ロシアに攻め込むのか？

・・今は、ヒトラーの本を読んでいるがまだまだ研究が必要だと思う。

Troops loyal to the German government crushed a revolutionary cell
of Spartacists in Berlin tonight. But a week-long battle in the streets
of the city has taken its toll. One correspondent reports he saw the

The trouble started at the beginning of the month, when at a meeting
of the radical Spartacus League, Karl Liebknect and Rosa Luxemburg

have been killed in Berlin while in government custody.
An independent socialist newspaper declared, “The blood is on the

them.”The government promised a complete investigation, and later,
the officers in charge of the two prisoners were taken into custody.

Luxemburg was beaten senｓeless by s mob as troops tried to remove
her from the Hotel Eden, where she had been interrogated. Then she
was shot in the head and her body was dumped in a canal. It has not
been recovered. Liebknect’s guards managed to sprit him from the mob
in a car. One report says they shot him down in cold blood a short while
later. The guards say they fired when Liebknect tried to escape.

―邦訳は「アドルフ・ヒトラー」（みすず書房現代史体系）―

今日で、本書の806頁のうちようやく410頁まで読み進んだ。
時代では1939年（昭和14年）までだ。小説のように読みとばしではなく、
二回、三回と読み直すと鮮明に頭に入ってくる。
「我が闘争」「第三帝国の興亡（創元新社）」「ヒトラーとは何か（草思社）」
「第二次世界大戦」「早わかり世界史」とかもあわせて読んでいる。

しかし、歴史って難しいよな。ヒトラー及びヒトラーの生きた時代だけを
切り取って知ろうとしても全貌は不完全な理解にしかならないことに気
づいたｗ。
西洋史全体を知らないと無理だ。解説本やWikiなんかの生半可な知識
じゃ恥かいてしまうわ。ギリシャ・ローマ時代、キリスト教、中世、ルネッサンス
・・・・そこまで遡っていかないと無理だ。
ヨーロッパとは何なのか？地中海人種、アルプス人種・・・コーカソイド
ではあるが、異なる言葉を話す民族がかくも多く雑居している。それぞれの
民族にはそれぞれの歴史と文化がある。
本書を軽い気持ちで読み始めたが、重い課題を抱えてしまったｗ。

上記の「Hitler, A STUDY IN TYRANNY」は固い本だから、息抜きが必要だ。
本書は、イギリスの作家が書いた少年少女向きの本で、ワルシャワ・ゲットー
から脱出して森の中での反ナチ・パルチザン活動に挺身した13歳の少年の
体験を描いている。
でも、ユダヤ人って何だ？人種なのか？宗教なのか？ヒトラーがそれほど
憎悪したものとは何だったのか？
反ユダヤ主義（anti-Semitism）は歴史的・宗教的淵源が多面的にあるようで、
単一民族の島国日本での体感的理解はなかなか難しい。しかし、この少年の
体験した悲劇は実際にあった話だ。人間の歴史と云うものはなんと過酷なものか！

みんな英語を手段として何かを研究しているわけでなく、単に
英語を読みその上達を目的にしているだけだから、「物理」とか
「バイオ」にコメントする知識もないし、無視したわけではないと
思うよ。（「徹底的に無視」とはちょっと勘ぐり過ぎだよｗ。）

そもそも、「物理」とか「バイオ」とかに興味があったら日本語で読むよ。
自分は英語の本を沢山読むけれど、内容や構文を100％理解しきれて
いないことは自覚している。だから英語で「物理」とか「バイオ」の関係
の本を、英和辞書を引き引き読んでも正確に理解できる自信ないし、
科学専門の学者や研究者じゃないから読まんよ。他の人も同じじゃない
かな。
日本語で読む方が正確だし効率的。科学関係は100％正確に訳せること
が条件で、自分流のわかったつもりの読み方では有害でさえあるからね。
コメントなんか気にしたり期待したりないでどんどん書き込めばいいと思う。

あと、ダイヤモンドの本は気楽な小説みたいなものだから読んだ。
事実誤認や勝手な解釈があるとの批判もあるが面白かった。

そうなのかな～？とおのれは思うんだけど。
ナチスは戦争遂行を支える「Autarky(経済的自給自足)」と「Ersarz(代用石油)」
と言われる方策を1936年には推進していた。勿論、経済コストは度外視した。
この間の事情は複雑で膨大だから分析は簡単ではないし、論争もある。しかし、
「人造石油製造」＝「石油不足」＝「石油獲得の必要性」＝「ロシア侵攻」と結び
つけていくのは歴史認識としてはどうだろうか？

「ロシア侵攻」の理由を記述している「Hitler a study in tyranny」651頁の個所を
下に引用しておくから読んで下され。

そもそもドイツは、日本のようにアメリカからの石油禁輸や資産凍結とかで経済
的破滅に追い込まれた末の開戦ではないのだ。戦争なんかする必然性はなかっ
たとさえ言える。
当時、ドイツの進むべき道は４つあった。増大する人口を抑制する道（the limitation
of population）。国内の経済・産業を開発・振興させる道(internal colonization, the
intensified development of the territory she already possessed)。通商国家でやって
ゆく道(commercial expansion overseas on the model of England)。
これらは全て平和的な道だ。戦争をする必要はない。ヒトラーはこれらは敗北者主義
者(defeatist)の選択であると拒否した。
神聖ローマ帝国（962―1806）、独仏戦争後のホーエンツォレルン家の君臨したドイツ
帝国（1871～1918）に続く、第三帝国（ドイツ民族の「生活圏」であるポーランド・ウクラ
イナ・ウラルを含む東方植民地領有）建設がヒトラーの夢であり目的だった。
ヒトラーは政権を奪取するや、十数年前に「マイン・カンプ」で述べた政治思想
（ファンタジー）の妥協なき具現化に突き進んだ。誰も止められなかったのだ。

「Hitler a study in tyranny」を継続して読んでいるが、長くて多岐にわたる
ので飽きてしまったから、息抜きとして読んだ。
「The shadow of the wall」の続編だという。この本はアマゾンを見ると、
電子書籍では1,188円、ペーパーバックだと1,883円もしているではないか！
つくづく洋書って高いと思う。
(そもそも電子書籍は単なる「閲覧権」の購入であって、読んだ後、紙の本と
違って中古品で売ることができない。タブレットでちまちまと見にくい。１回読
んだらもう読まないのに「閲覧権」の買い戻しもしない。電子書籍ぼったくりだ。
電子書籍、こんなもの買う人がいるねと思う。
おのれは貧乏人だから、たかが英語の勉強で無駄な金は使いたくないのだ。
「Beyond the wall」、この本は200円で買った中古本だ。古本屋をまめに巡回し、
興味を少しでもひいた本があればジャンルを問わず買っておく。随分前に
ヤフオクで「洋書まとめていくら」とかで100冊買ったのは正解だった。結構、
中に掘り出し物が入っていた。
中古の洋書も最近ではろくなものしかない。紙の洋書を中古市場に出す人間
がいなくなった。電子書籍が普及しだした。まっとうな洋書が読める人間がい
なくなった。これらで市場が縮小しているからしかたがないか。
…うじうじと言ってしまったw！）

さて、本書は「The shadow of the wall」の続編で、ユダヤ人の「Misha」が閉鎖の
迫るワルシャワの「ユダヤ人ゲットー」を脱出した後のストーリーである。
反ナチパルチザンの活動、淡い恋心、同志との別れ、祖国が共産化により逃亡
生活、戦後は差別と闘いながらイギリスで苦しい生活を続けた体験を、親子関係
の問題がある連れ子の息子に語るという形式となっている。
「Hitler a study in tyranny」の文体と違い、少年少女向きの簡単な文体だから頭を
悩まされず気楽に読めた。

my parents, though not well off and belonging to the class of small

上のようなセンテンスがあるストーリーを読みながら、すこし考えてみた。
ユダヤ人差別・迫害の背景については身近でないし歴史や文化も異なる。
よく理解できないところがあるが、自分なりに考えてみたのだ。

先ず、ヒトラー及びナチスの反ユダヤ思想は、以前から西洋社会に根強く
存在していた反ユダヤ感情から発生したものだと思う。ドイツにもロシアにも
ポーランドにもフランスにもイタリアにもイギリスにも、キリスト教の普及して
いる地域に根源的に存在していたものだと思う。

ユダがキリストを裏切った。そして十字架に張り付けた。カトリック教会は
第２回バチカン公会議まではユダヤ人を異端者として公然と攻撃したという。
キリストも裏切ったユダもユダヤ人（ヘブライ人）だから、ユダのユダヤ人だけを
攻撃するのは論理的には変である。福音をもたらしたのもユダヤ人だからだ。
キリスト教会の宗教的なユダヤ教への劣等感の裏返しの正当性主張と
ライバル視からだろう。キリスト教信者にはユダヤ人への偏見があるのである。
ユダヤ教徒は「選ばれた民」として閉鎖的であったのも偏見に拍車をかけた面

第二の原因は社会的反ユダヤ主義と言えるものだ。
中世では金銭への潔癖感があってユダヤ人の許された生業は金貸し
であった。典型が「ベニスの商人」の強欲な金貸しで、憎まれた。
19世紀中頃以降は、封建体制から解放されたユダヤ人は優秀な天分と
努力と強固な紐帯から、次々と社会的成功をおさめ社会の指導的地位を
占めるに至った。政治、経済、金融、科学、医術、法曹、出版、文化、
芸術などあらゆる分野で成功しエリートになった。賞賛とともに、
大衆からは嫉妬と反感も買った。

ヒトラー個人も、この二つの要因からユダヤ人を憎悪するようになった。
ヒトラーは敬虔なカトリック教徒として育てられ、ユダヤ人憎悪の感情を
子供のころから強く植え付けられていたという。（「我が闘争」では否定し

ウィーンに来てから社会的反ユダヤ主義に染まった。ディレッタントの
ごった混ぜの知識から得た「人種思想（アーリア人・劣等人種等）」を加味して、
諸悪の根源をユダヤ人のせいにするようになった。人種思想も全然、
科学的・論理的なものではなく、ヒトラーの反ユダヤ主義は、憎悪、嫌悪、
反感、嫉妬、妬みの感情の集大成であり、狂人の妄想に近いものだ。
その思想は政権を握るまでは有効であったが、その実現化は国家的に全く
必要なものではなく、むしろドイツの国力を弱体化させ破滅に至ることになった
・・・と整理してまとめてみた。しかし、まだ分からないところが一杯ある。

「老人と海」、構文は複雑ではないが、学校英語では習わない海洋関係
の名詞が多い。無視すると構文全体を理解できないから辞書を引かずに
見当をつけて読み流す事が出来ない。その点では難しい。

ギャツビーの洋書で買った。そんな感じですね。
ギャツビーの単語の訳付きは、知ってる単語に訳がついてるし、

解釈に文法的知識が必要な文章がある。文法の説明材料が豊富だ。

ほど馬鹿な文章だが、文法の専門家にはたまらない材料になると思う。

中国語では『中国湖南省武漢市出現一種新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎
（簡称”新型肺炎“）。据中国国家衛健委発布的最新消息、

漢文というより日本語からの輸入だよね。中華人民共和国の人民と
共和国も日本由来の輸入語。
漢字が共通なのだから筆談で意思が通じる。小学生に漢字を教える時、
漢読み訓読みのほかにピンインを同時に教えれば中国語が話せるよう
になっていいと思うな。中国と日本は同文同種なのだから。

今日読んだ英語の本（「History」by Elsa Morante）の中に100年前の
スペイン風邪の悲惨な描写があったから紹介する。スペイン風邪は
